Saturday, 3/2

Celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday at the Connecticut Historical Society, Hartford @ 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.  FREE event.

FREE hands-on workshops designed for children ages 5 – 12 offered the 1st Saturday of every month at all The Home Depot stores @ 9 a.m.–12 p.m.

FREE children’s admission at White Memorial Nature Center, Litchfield @ 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Chinese Arts Festival, New Haven @ 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Enjoy parade to begin the Year of the Snake, continuing through Sunday.

Maple Sugaring starts this weekend at Stamford Museum and Nature Center @ 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.,  continuing through Sunday.

Sunday, 3/3

More maple sugaring – depending on where you live or how far you want to take a “Sunday drive” explore Lamothe’s Sugar House, Burlington or find a sugar house by county on the Maple Producers of CT directory.

Last weekend for “Kids Skate Free” at Veterans Memorial Skating Rink, West Hartford @  7-8 p.m.  One free child (12-) admission with each paid adult admission! (regular skate rental fees apply)
