With the chilly weather over this week it sure feels like winter, even though it hasn’t officially started yet! Luckily Connecticut has a lot of indoor fun lined up to keep your family cozy and get you in the Holiday spirit! So we’ve put together our list of Things to Do with Kids this Weekend in CT November 15–17:

Friday Nov 15 7 PM- 8:45 PM:  DJ Skate Nights (Veteran Memorial Skating Rink, West Hartford, CT)

Go Ice skating for all ages at DJ Skate Nights with the hottest tunes playing!  Veterans Memorial Skating Rink is a friendly, clean, safe, and comfortable environment for everyone and currently offers the most public skating sessions in the area. Fridays, Nov 15-Aug 14, 9:30 AM-11 AM: Playful Learners Playgroup at Imagine Nation (Bristol, CT)

Families with children ages 36 months and under are invited to the weekly Playful Learners Playgroup at Imagine Nation!

Participants receive half-price admission and may enjoy access to all museum studios.

Playful Learners Playgroup begins with gross motor free play in Imagine Nation’s Kinetic Studio from 9:30-10:30am. An age-appropriate staff-facilitated workshop is held at 10:30am

Admission for Playful Learners Playgroup is $5.00 per person, Imagine Nation Members and children under one are FREE!

Saturday Nov 16 6 AM-8 PM:  KIDZ BOP World Tour 2019  (Oakdale Theatre, Wallingford, CT) Meet Kidtivity.com at the show – come say hello!

Saturday Nov 16-Sunday, Nov 17, 11 AM-12 PM: Grave Digger Monster Truck Visit (Boscov’s, Milford, CT)

Have you ever wanted to get up close to a Monster Jam truck? Well now you can! Make sure to come by Boscov’s Milford at the Connecticut Post Mall on Thursday, November 14, between 2pm-6pm. Saturday Nov 16, 10 AM and 11:30 AM: Turtle Dance Music (Thornton William Hall, Hamden, CT)

Join Turtle Dance Music for a sensory and ASD-friendly Music, Bubble and Comedy show about why libraries rock! Turtle Dance Music tailors their performances toward furthering child development through arts-integration, music, and educational entertainment. This 40 minute, Music, Bubble and Comedy Show is high-energy, engages children with songs, comedy, bubbles, music technology and is crafted to be inclusive for all children including children on the Autism Spectrum. Each song in the 40-minute show is accompanied by hands-on, visual, and sensory experiences designed to help kids learn and have fun at the same time. Kids will dance, sing, and understand why libraries are so important for our future. This show will have TWO performances – the first at 10am and the second at 11:30am.

Tickets are $2 for Children, $3 for Adults – Available at the door only, Cash only. Doors open at 9:30am for the first showing and 11am for the second showing.

Saturday Nov 16,10 AM-2 PM: Open Farm Day (New Haven, CT)

Open Farm Day is FREE and does not require RSVP.  Taste and explore in the learning garden, visit the friendly farm animals, make mud pies in the mud kitchen, drive a truck and dig in the sandbox, look for frogs at the wetland, play and build forts in the woods, and go for a self-guided hike on the Old Oak Nature Trail!

Join the Hartford Public Library in celebrating the spirit of Diwali! Join HPL and CT Humanities on November 16th for a gleeful afternoon of music, dance, and a Family Fashion Show! Special Guest, Sarada Nori and Company will present classical Indian dances with songs and stories.

Saturday Nov 16,11 AM-5 PM: Free taste of Thanksgiving (Stew Leonard, Newington CT)

Join Stew Leonard’s chefs for a complimentary Taste of Thanksgiving! Saturdays, Nov 16-Dec 21,6 PM-7:30 PM: Goats N’ Pajamas (Bradley Mountain Farm, Southington, CT)

Come with your family to put the herd to bed, cuddle with your favorite goat, and experience pure silliness together. You will be brushing the goats, feeding them, and putting pajamas, tutus, and other costumes on the goats. . We will end the night with a goat cuddle session and feeding the whole herd hay as their Good Night snack. All ages are welcome! $15 p/ person

The second show of the month will take place on Saturday November 16th at 7 PM and will highlight one of our favorite objects in the solar system – Pluto! Discover why Pluto isn’t a planet anymore but still holds a special place in our hearts.

Sunday, Nov 17 2 PM-3 PM:  The Very Hungry Caterpillar (Shubert Theatre new Haven, CT)

Shubert Theatre presents the critically acclaimed show, The Very Hungry Caterpillar! The book by the same name is a favorite with kids and has sold more than 43 M copies worldwide. Best enjoyed by children 1 to 6. Sunday Nov 17, 9 AM-11 AM: Character Toddler Time (Wallingford, CT)

Join Sky Zone, Wallingford during their next Character Toddler Time event!

Parents/Guardians do not need to purchase a ticket, just a pair of Sky Socks (if needed) for these sessions.
* Waivers and Sky Socks are required for all participants.
