Official Trick or Treating takes place the 31st (it’s a Tuesday this year!) but there are SO MANY opportunities for kids to Trick or Treat. We’re working to organize The BIG LIST of 2023 CT Trick Or Treat Events, by county. We’ll continue to update as we learn more throughout Spooky Season, so stay tuned!

Hartford  and New Haven County Trick or Treating

October 1: Mall o Ween, Meriden

Saturday 11a-6p and Sunday noon – 6p. Two days of amazing fun with Halloween FREE photos, trick or treating, free kids activities and games and awesome crafters and vendors!

October 10: Pumpkin Carving at Northwest Park Manchester FREE
October 13: Trick or Treat at Northwest Park Manchester FREE

Both programs are FREE and open to the public. Carve pumpkins on the 10th and return on the 13th for Trick-orTreat. Please note that pumpkins stay in the park for the celebration.

October 15: Spooktacular Celebration at Simsbury Meadows *12 and Under FREE, $10 for anyone above 12*

Children will receive candy and treats throughout the event at every vendor booth, as well as fun prizes at every game (all games are FREE)! * Bounce House Inflatables * Food Trucks * Live Performances * Touch-a-Truck

October 20: Family Halloween Party at Litchfield Community Center: *FREE*

Join us and the Moore’s in your best Halloween costume for some spooky stories, Halloween snacks, and a fun craft provided by the Litchfield Girl Scouts! FREE / Pre-registration required

October 21: Spooktacular at the Connecticut Science Center *Free 12 and under, admission charge for adults*

Our frightfully fun, family-friendly, Halloween event – Spooktacular – returns. Enjoy a variety of Halloween treats and snacks (allergy-friendly also available) as you gather up goodies around the Connecticut Science Center and explore more than 165 hands-on exhibits combined with some wickedly entertaining experiences. Follow our trick-or-treat trail to fun and surprises like an enormous pumpkin you can bounce in, spooky airbrush tattoos, wacky games, thrilling LIVE Science demonstrations, and so much more. Plus, Science Center Members can take home a FREE pumpkin to carve while supplies last. Any children aged 12 and under who conjure up a costume for the occasion will receive FREE General Admission.

October 21: Boo Bash at Parkville Market:

October 21: Downtown Manchester’s Halloween Happenings *FREE*

Start with a Magic Show at Mary Cheney Library, then head to WORK_SPACE to decorate a bag, before trick or treating down Main Street from 11:30 to 1pm!

October 28: Trunk or Treat with Fun with Nature LCC *FREE*

We’re super excited to be hosting our 3rd annual FREE Trunk Or Treat on October 28th! Put on your favorite costume and stop by for some treats! All ages welcome ? No registration necessary

October 28: Halloween Fest and Trunk or Treat at Southington Drive In:

From 3 to 5 pm we’ll have family activities – pumpkin painting, face painting, live dog tricks under the pavilion and a mini touch a truck. At 5 pm, we’ll commence trunk or treating – please bring candy to give out. A special surprise showing starts at 6 pm followed by our feature film, The Nightmare Before Christmas. Gates open at 3 pm. $25 per vehicle. Rain date is Sunday, October 29

October 28: Halloween SPOOKtacular in Bristol *FREE*

Bring your friends and family to Memorial Booolevard for the best Halloween event in Central Connecticut! Costumes are HIGHLY encouraged for everyone! Our Witch’s Brew Tent will have an array of fall beverages, a Gourd-eously fun sip & paint, and a live DJ dishing out spooky music and trivia all day.

October 28: Wilton Trick Or Treat

In partnership with ASML and the Town of Wilton, the Wilton Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the return of the much-anticipated Pumpkin Parade and Trick or Treating in Wilton Center on Saturday, October 28th from 2-4pm! All are invited to dress up and don their Halloween best as they gather treats throughout Wilton Center. Join us for some frightful fun and gather at the gazebo as we feature spooktacular interactive games and activities for the whole family this year!

October 31: Downtown New Britain Trick or Treat Safe Zone *FREE*

Started in 2012, the Halloween Trick or Treat Safe Zone has provided a safe place for thousands of little monsters as they collect candy and show off their costumes. The road closures in Downtown New Britain create a safe, walkable environment to enjoy endless themed entertainment and gather all the sweets.

October 31: Trick or Treat at Stew Leonard’s 

All kids under age 12 who wear their Halloween costume to Stew Leonard’s on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, will receive a free small ice cream cone at our Ice Cream Parlor.

October 31: Trick or Treat at the North Haven Memorial Library: 

Stop by the library in your Halloween costume to trick-or-treat at the Children’s and main Adult’s circulation desks! Dressed up tricksters will get sweet surprises from the staff.

Middlesex and New London County Trick or Treating

October 15: 3rd Annual Boo Bash at the Beach:

Come out to Ocean Beach and bring the kids for a day filled with fun, tricks and treats! Kids will get a free treat bag on the way in the door and will be able to trick or treat with over 50 vendors. Costume Contest and more!

October 20: New London HalloweenTown: *FREE*

Halloween Town Friday, Oct 20 from 6pm- 9pm – New London Waterfront park. Bring your family to New London Halloween Town for a night full if family fun, which includes, Trick or treating, Costume Contest for ages Pre – K to 5th grade, spooky entertainment and a dance party.

October 21: Downtown Middletown Trick or Treat *FREE*

Downtown Middletown celebrates Halloween with games, bounce houses, and trick or treating at local businesses. 

October 21: Community Halloween Spectacular, Old Saybrook:

Community Halloween Spectacular – enjoy a trunk or treat and spooky walk at First Church of Christ in Old Saybrook.

October 21: Burnett’s Country Gardens Halloween Treats, Salem: *FREE*

Burnett’s Halloween Hunt is back! Join us October 21st from 11a-12:30p and bring the kiddos in their best costumes to come hunt for treats in the greenhouse! This event is FREE and will run rain or shine!

October 27: First Annual Trunk or Treat at Priam Vineyards: *FREE*

Join us for our FIRST ANNUAL spooktacular evening of family fun at Priam Vineyards Trunk or Treat on October 27th! ??️ Get ready to enjoy a creatively decorated trunk display, where families can collect treats and share in the Halloween spirit. October 28: Stonington Halloween Trick or Treat and Craft/Vendor Fair *FREE*

Bring the entire family out for this hauntingly good time. From 10-6, Kids will get get a free trick or treat bag at Petrillo’s Fairs and Festivals and then can visit all the booths trick or treating. Plus, plenty of other free attractions for the entire family to enjoy!

October 28: NorWITCH Trick Or Treat

Strut around in costume in downtown Norwich along Broadway, Bath and Franklin Streets while you shop and dine in our many terrific establishments. Enjoy an assortment of tasty treats available from CT food trucks and browse crafter booths all set in a festive Halloween environment.

October 28: Trunk or Treat at Middletown Toyota *FREE*

Calling all witches, ghost, goblins, zombies and all those who dare to enter…….enjoy Trunk or Treat at Middletown Toyota

October 29: Trick or Treat Night at the Dinosaur Place:

Join us for our fifth annual Halloween Event Pumpkin Passage and create unique memories with your whole family! This October at our dinosaur-themed adventure park: Choose lights instead of frights! Trick-or-Treat night will take place on Sunday, October 29th, and will include a bag of candy and presents for participating children

October 29: Trunk or Treat and Mystic Community Parade *FREE*

Join the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce and the Mystic Fire Department for Mystic Halloween Parade & Trunk or Treat. Parade gathers on Water Street at Friar Tucks and ends at Mystic Fire House where kids enjoy crafts, mummy wrapping , snacks and a community Trunk or Treat. Students from Stonington High School and Fitch High School will be volunteering with arts and crafts

October 31: Mystic Community Trick or Treat:

Come dressed in your spookiest and silliest costumes and enjoy trick or treating at Mystic Seaport Museum. The Museum opens its doors for FREE to the community beginning at 3 pm until 6 pm.

Tolland and Windham County Trick or Treating

October 21: Hebron Harvest Moon Festival 

Join The Town Center Project along Main Street for a day full of Halloween fun. Show off your carving skills at our Jack o’ Lantern Tower and contest for all ages! Enjoy the best of local musicians, artisans, vendors, live entertainment and food trucks! Stay tuned… this is one Fall event your family does not want to miss!

October 27: Trunk or Treat by Hebron Parks and Rec:

Join us for a fun evening of trunk or treating at the Burnt Hill Park Pavilion. There will be pumpkin decorating, bounce houses, wagon rides and more!! Decorated Vehicles Needed!

October 29: Trunk or Treat Fundraiser at Arbor Park, Ellington

Join the Moms Club of Ellington and Vernon for a Trunk or Treat Fundraiser. Details to Follow.

October 29: Spooktacular Arts and Crafts Fair/Trick Or treat Event:

This is going to be an event for the whole family. Vendors will be handing out candy for the little ones. We will also have prizes for best costumes.

Fairfield and Litchfield County Trick or Treating

October 14: Not-So-Spooky Halloween Event at Torrington Library:

Welcome all ages to Trick or Treat throughout the Library from 4:00 pm-6:00 pm! Haunted Freeze Dance Battles will be at 4:30, 5:00, and 5:30 – prizes for participants! Haunted Magic Show from 6:00 – 6:45 pm! The event ends at 7:00 pm

October 22: Children’s Samhain “Irish Halloween” event *FREE*

Join us on Sunday, October 22nd for our Children’s Samhain “Irish Halloween” Celebration from 2 to 3:30 pm at the GDICC! Children ages 8 through 12 are welcome to join us for a celebration with music, stories, crafts and refreshments. We will discover the meaning of Samhain and how it has influenced much of our modern-day Halloween here in the US! Registration will be limited to 24 children. Admission is free, but you must register to attend! Registration information will be available soon!

October 24: Trick or Treat with Stew Leonard’s Characters:

Children ages 8 and younger are invited to dress in their costumes and come to Stew Leonard’s in Norwalk to go trick-or-treating.

October 28: Trunk or Treat at Stamford Church of Christ *FREE*

Free Family Event where Preschool and Elementary kids are invited to dress up and come with their families for fun games, hotdogs, bounce houses and ‘trick or treating’! No Scary Costumes Please! Bring your children to this fun family day at the Stamford Church of Christ. In order to control crowds, we ask that you sign up for an arrival time.

October 28: Trick Or Treat Street, Bethel
Bethel CT Pride’s Halloween Party for Middle Schoolers
Bethel CT Pride’s Halloween Party for High Schoolers

Head to Trick or Treat Street in Bethel! After, Celebrate Halloween with Bethel CT Pride! LGBTQ+ middle schoolers and high schoolersand allies are invited for food, activities, music, and more! Plus the first 100 RSVPs get a trick or treat bag! Costumes encouraged! Parents are welcome to hang out and mingle in our coffee room! (Parents of middle school youth encouraged to stay for the duration of that party.)

October 29: 2023 Halloween Block Party on Elm Street *FREE*

Calling all Ghosts, Goblins and Witches! Head downtown on Sunday October 29th to show off your costumes and get a head start on your trick or treating! This beloved New Canaan tradition is generously sponsored by The Sigg Team at William Raveis. Elm Street will be closed off to vehicular traffic to allow for safe trick or treating! Our friends at School of Rock will be playing all there best Halloween Tunes! The first 500 attendees will receive a free pre stuffed bag courtesy of Walter Stewarts Market.

October 29: Trunk or Treat at March Farm: *FREE*

October 31: Norwalk Trunk or Treat at Word Alive Bible Church: *FREE*

Word Alive Church of Norwalk will be hosting its Annual Trunk or Treat event on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the church parking lot at 536 West Avenue This year marks the sixteenth anniversary of this much-anticipated event.

October 31: Halloween Parade at the Newtown Community Center: *FREE*

Calling all Ghouls and Goblins! Join us for a Halloween Parade in conjunction with the Newtown Senior Center. Join us for a parade down the halls of the Community Center. Come in costume as we march and trick or treat through the halls to Halloween tunes. The parade will end in the Multi-purpose room with photo opportunities and some ghoulish treats!
