Super Scary Halloween Events 

These are meant for much older kids and teens who want to be terrified (but all in good fun!)

Nightmare on Main: Creep Through Time, Willimantic

Oct 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21: Take a dark journey to discover the chilling origins of Halloween following the traditions through time from the ancients trying to avoid evil spirits to the holiday celebration in recent times. Nightmare on Main is an annual event that creates a chilling experience loosely based on history and donates funds to area nonprofits.

Legends of Fear, Shelton:

The forgotten souls released from their graves yearn to taunt the living, and will delight in your distress! Beware! These lands are truly haunted. Unspeakable beings are lurking in the shadows of the eerie October moonlit nights.

The warnings are clearly posted. The dead and disturbed are unmerciful in their revenge!

Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night September 23 through October 31. Tickets: $32 The Hallow Trail; $32 Haunted Hayride;  $60 Combo Ticket

Evidence of Evil, Lyman Orchards:

Be prepared, you WILL be asked to participate in the scares!

Open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in October from Dusk to 10 PM. Tickets are $28 and must be purchased in advance. 

Rails to the Darkside at the Connecticut Trolley Museum:

As the fall chill fills the air, on the darkest of nights mournful cries of the abandoned dead are heard on the tracks at the Connecticut Trolley Museum. Listen to the tale of yesteryear, as you learn of a hastily moved cemetery whose bodies were left behind, their angry souls seeking their revenge. Will you survive?

Trail of Terror in Wallingford

“Hilariously Frightful” Experience your nightmares at the Trail of Terror in Wallingford, CT.

Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night September 30 through October 31. Book Tickets in advance: $25 timed ticket, $40 for a VIP Pass. 

“Phantom Fall Fest” at Lake Compounce, Bristol: 

This year, the scare is everywhere. Don’t miss the return of Phantom Fall Fest, with more of things that make you scream. Each Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 23 through October 29. Phantom Fall Fest at Lake Compounce- you gotta scream it to believe it.

Tickets $35 online or purchase a season pass.

Fright Haven in Stratford:

Connecticut’s largest, scariest and greatest world-class INDOOR Haunted House Attraction all under one roof — 20,000 square feet of family fun nightmares, thrills, and chills.

Every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night September 23 through October 31. Book Tickets in advance: $25-$40 per ticket. 

Haunted Trail at Hay Burr Inn:

Come dressed up in your costumes, meet our equines on the Sanctuary, walk the Haunted Trail and get a little spooked. Three spooky evenings (6 PM – 9 PM) to walk the Haunted Trail: October 8, 21, and 28!
