July 4: Great American Boom in New Britain

Head to New Britain for music, fireworks, food vendors, family fun and more! 

July 4: Yard Goats vs Fisher Cats: Fireworks After the Game

The one where we light up the night with patriotic fireworks, and celebrate the United States of America. It’s also Baseball Bingo night, presented by Hartford Provision Company. The Yard Goats host the Blue Jays affiliate, with gates opening at 5pm.

July 4: Lake Compounce

Celebrate Independence Day at Lake Compounce with a concert from Southern Voice.

July 4: 4th of July Celebration at the Grove in Salisbury:

Gather at the Town Grove on Lakeville Lake to celebrate Independence Day. Bring a picnic, take a dip in the lake, or sit in the shade of magnificent oak trees while the Salisbury Band plays patriotic tunes. Heman Allen, 1740-1788, (our own Lou Bucceri) makes an appearance to read the Declaration of Independence.

July 4: New Haven Fireworks:

New Haven invites people to its Fourth of July celebrations in East Rock Park. Music, fireworks and food trucks are some of the activities guaranteeing a fun time to revelers at this joyous event. Recommended viewing is from Wilbur Cross High School.

July 4: Madison Independence Day Parade:

The Town of Madison Annual Independence Day Parade will be held on July 4, 2023, at 10:00 AM. The parade will proceed west on Boston Post Road (Route 1) from Samson Rock Drive to the West Wharf Road and will end in the Surf Club.

July 4: 3-D Fireworks at Quassy-

Spend the holiday at the park and enjoy 3-D Fireworks after dark with special viewing glasses sold for $2. Proceeds benefit Give Kids The World Village. Presenting partners: TD Bank, Price Chopper, Shaker’s Hyundai.

Tolland and Windham County:

July 4: Columbia July 4th Parade 2023

The Columbia July 4th Parade 2023, the Ye Olde Lebanon Towne Militia, is a parade that celebrates American independence and patriotism, with members of the historic militia dressed in period clothing and carrying replica weapons or flags. The parade will also include floats, marching bands, and other patriotic displays, as well as speeches or other ceremonies to commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

July 4: Town of Canterbury Fourth of July Parade: 

Parade begins at 10, Line up at 9. Canned goods to be collected for Canterbury Cares.

July 4: 4th of July Boom Box Parade in Willimantic:

Celebrate the birth of America at the world-famous Boom Box Parade! The parade is led by Grand Marshall and legendary radio personality Wayne Norman, who has been there since the start of the very first Boom Box Parade. The parade starts at the Jillson Square Park and heads West on Main Street, where thousands of spectators line the street. The parade concludes at Memorial Park.

Middlesex and New London Counties:

July 4: Groton Fourth of July Parade:

The Annual 4th of July Parade is a community favorite and a summer tradition celebrating our greatest national holiday. Every year dozens of businesses, non-profit organizations, military groups and others march in the parade that draws thousands of spectators. The parade is held on July 4 at 10 a.m. every year.

July 4: Essex Auto Club Annual July 4th Car Show:

For its 15th year, the Essex Auto Club Annual Car Show will once again be held on the grounds of the Connecticut River Museum in historic Essex Connecticut on Tuesday, July 4th from 10:00am-2:00pm.

June 30-July 4: Niantic KOA Fourth of July Celebration:

Come celebrate the holiday with a fun-filled weekend of outdoor movies, wagon rides, coin hunts, fire truck rides, shell painting, an ice cream social and so much more!

July 4 at Ocean Beach Park:

It’s a Classic for a reason: Spend time on the beach, ride the rides, splash in the pool, or cool off in the spray park: Possibilities are endless!
