Veterans Day is next Friday, November 11. Since it is a local, state and federal holiday meaning municipal offices and the U.S. Postal Service are closed as are most banks consider these Free Veterans Day Events in CT to enjoy time off together around the state:

Sunday, November 5: 

7:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Veterans Day Pancake Breakfast – Windham, CT

12 Noon Stamford Parade Route starts at the Stamford Police Department’s headquarters at 725 Bedford St. and ends at the park at 130 Atlantic St.  After the parade, a ceremony will be held at Veterans Memorial Park which will include the unveiling of three panels with historical information about the city, residents who served in war and the site of Veterans Memorial Park.

Friday, November 10:

8a.m.-1 p.m. Veterans Day Celebration – Weston, CT

9 – 10 a.m. Veterans Ceremony at National Iwo Jima Memorial 1 Iwo Jima Way New BritainCT.  In case of rain, the program will be held at Wallace Middle School Auditorium, 71 Halleran Drive, Newington CT.

Saturday, November 11:

11 a.m. Veterans Day Parade | Enfield, CT

11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Kids Wreath Making Workshop in celebration of Veteran’s Day at Wilton Historical Society

9 a.m. – 4 p.m. New England Air Museum Veterans and active military will receive FREE admission (Please bring ID to receive free admission).

Sunday, November 12:

American Legion Post 196 hosts their annual Veterans Day Parade at 2 p.m. All units and marchers are asked to assemble at the Daniel Wasson Field parking lot at 1 p.m. 70 West River St Milford, Connecticut 06460
