Where to go For Free Costumes
Head to a costume swap at one of these libraries:
- September 30: East Hampton Library- Halloween Costume Swap
- October 7-Durham Library-Halloween Costume Swap
Visit an event with your local Youth and Family Service Group:
Many other towns (like Middletown!) have offered events where children can “shop” for a Halloween costume with Parks and Rec or Youth and Family services. Definitely worth checking out, and we will list them here as we learn about times and dates!
Visit Buy Nothing:
I’m pretty sure my whole wardrobe comes from Buy Nothing at this point. People are amazingly generous and it’s also a great place to get rid of stuff you don’t want. Definitely join the group in your local community.
