Easter Fun in Connecticut
Can you believe it? Easter is just around the corner (It falls on Sunday, March 31 this year)! Family fun is everywhere and we couldn’t be more excited. Have breakfast or go for a trolley ride with the Easter Bunny, hunt for eggs and more! We will continue to update this list as more opportunities pop up.
Hartford County:
March 10: Newington Volunteer Fire Dept Egg Hunt*:
Open to all Newington Elementary Students- free town egg hunt by the Volunteer Fire Dept!
March 16: Southington Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt*
10,000 eggs are up for grabs at our Annual FREE Easter Egg Hunt! The bunny will be riding in on a firetruck at 1pm accompanied by the fire fighters of Plantsville Company #2. There are 3 different age zones so littles don’t get trampled: 0-3, 4-7 and 8+. After the hunt, the bunny will be available for pictures. Event is free, donations are accepted.
March 16: Farmington Valley YMCA Easter Egg Hunt*
Saturday, March 16th 11:00 AM Rain or Shine! Ages 0-10 Candy Donations are welcome!
March 19: Indoor Easter Egg Hunt, My Gym Enfield
Join us for our annual indoor Easter egg hunt. Every child receives a goody bag! Space is limited so reserve your spot today!
March 23- March 30: Easter Eggspress at the CT Trolley Museum:
Hop on board the Easter EGGspress Trolley! We hatched an EGGcellent event for the entire family, you won’t want to miss out! The Easter Bunny will be roaming the grounds and posing for pictures from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Each child will receive an Easter egg with a surprise inside when they complete up to five craft activities. Breakfast available 3/30 only.
March 23: Easter Egg Hunt at Hound and Home
Bring your furry friends for a photo with the Easter bunny and an Easter Egg Hunt where your pup can have the chance to find the golden egg. We will have a variety of vendors with both goodies for humans and your pups. The event is $15 per dog and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local animal rescues.
March 23, 2024: Easter Egg Hunt at St Matthew Lutheran Church – Avon*
St. Matthew will be holding our annual Easter Egg Hunt, which is open to all families in the community, on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Please feel free to share details with friends and family as all are welcome! We ask that you please RSVP to the Facebook post, or St. Matthew Office so we have a rough estimate of how many will be attending.
March 24, 2024: Egg-a-POOL-looza at the Glastonbury High School Pool
Activities include aquatic egg hunt, face painting, prizes, pictures with the bunny and more. Preregistration is required for all participants. Parents do not need to register! Children who do not know how to swim must be in the water with a parent and U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets must be worn. Parents must be in the water with their children for the 3-4 yr old and 5-6 yr old waves. Children aged 3-8 will be restricted to the shallow end of the pool, and 9-13-year old’s able to swim between the deep end and the shallow end.
March 29, 2024: Easter Bunny at Indian Rock Nature Preserve, Bristol:
The Easter Bunny is coming back to Indian Rock Nature Preserve for a day of egg hunting on Friday, March 29th, 2024. Eggs will be hidden throughout the duration of the event, which children can collect to trade in for a small prize! Please remember to bring your own basket. The Easter Bunny will be here to visit with your children, (Bring your own camera) Food, Games, Crafts and More!
March 29: Easter Egg Hunt at Kimberly Hall Campus – Windsor*
Join us for our Easter egg hunt at the Kimberly Hall Campus.
A food truck will be on-site, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Complete Care Walk to End Alzheimer’s Team.
March 30: Liberty Baptist Church Easter Egg Hunt – Bristol*
On Saturday March 30th, Liberty will be hosting our annual, community Easter Egg Hunt. Along with games, food and prizes, we will have three separate egg hunts for kids up through the 6th grade. Please sign up for one egg hunt time so we can better prepare to serve you!

March 24: Bunny Brunch and Egg Hunt at Powder Ridge
Join us for brunch and spend time with Snowball the Easter Bunny.
The Easter Bunny visits with family during our Sunday Brunch between 10am and 1pm. The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 11 am. The event is included with brunch.
March 30: Haddam Town & Country Nurseries Easter Egg Hunt*:
Join us for our Annual Easter Egg Hunt! This event will be held outside and open to all ages. The event is held rain or shine. Please bring a basket or bag to collect your eggs. All the eggs will have candy inside and if you find a coin as well then you will win a special Easter prize. Please arrive 10 minutes early because the egg hunt starts promptly at 1pm. After the hunt, the Easter Bunny will be hopping thru to take pictures! We look forward to seeing everyone this year.
March 30: Impact Martial Arts Egg Hunt, Cromwell*

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt is for Pomfret boys and girls ages 1-10. There will be two large silver eggs hidden in each area in each age group. The Easter Bunny will award an Easter Basket to the children who find these eggs.

The Vernon Parks & Recreation Department and Santini Villa Apartments are proud to present the 77th annual Egg Hunt at Henry Park for children ages 2-8. Come and hunt for the plastic candy filled eggs on the ball fields. Please bring a container/ bag to collect the eggs. Pre-registration is NOT required. No dogs allowed on the field.

We’re proud to welcome Killingly Parks and Recreation to the team to pull off this HUGE egg hunt featuring 11,000 Easter Eggs and so much more! Join us for one, GIANT hunt time at 10am. March 16: Torrington Rec Easter Egg Hunt*
Join us for a morning filled with Easter fun! Spend time as a family doing our Easter games (egg and spoon race, bunny hop race, and egg toss), and children can participate in an Easter Egg Hunt to receive candy. Meet the Easter Bunny! Donations encouraged but not required!
March 16-30: Railroad Museum of New England Easter Bunny Express:
There is no better way to celebrate the coming of spring than on the Naugatuck Railroad’s Easter Bunny Express! Passengers on these trains enjoy a stop at the Bunny Patch where children will have the chance to help rescue the Easter Bunny’s duck friends and meet the Easter Bunny!
March 23: Neurodiverse, Sensory Friendly Egg Hunt at Pratt Nature Center
An egg hunt designed to be sensory friendly for families of neurodiverse children! Come spend some time outside, and have fun looking for treat filled eggs. Please bring your own baskets. Space is limited, register early at info@prattcenter.org. Pre-registration is required.
March 23: Terryville Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt*:
The annual Terryville Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt returns on March 23, 2024. The event starts at 1:00pm in the rear of Terryville High School. This event is for children 0 to 10 years old or through 5th grade. This event is for those who reside in the town of Plymouth.
March 24-30: 2024 Egg Hunt with Baby Goats on Got Your Goat Farm:
Please join us on our farm for an egg hunt and Easter party. The goats will hunt with you and you can find candy and treats for you as well as for them! Special goat treat eggs will be hidden. You will be able to walk our fields with our herd of goats and explore our working farm…it’s quite “rustic,” but it’s a happy little goat farm with over 50 goats!
March 30: Easter at the Barn:
Come celebrate Easter at the farm with the whole family. Fun for all ages. Pony rides, face painting, Easter egg hunt by age group, Easter house decorating. Food will be available for purchase cash only. Preregistration required .

Family friendly event- meet the Easter Bunny, enjoy an egg hunt and shop local! This Egg Hunt Pass to be used 1 time at either noon or 2pm either day.

Get ready to stomp, chomp, and hunt for eggs like a real dinosaur! The 13th Annual Dino Easter Egg Hunt is back at The Dinosaur Place in Montville, Connecticut.

The next event coming up for the New London Heritage Historical Society is our Easter Egg Hunt at the Historical Village! Bring the kids out for this fun, free event!
Fairfield County:
March 23: Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Stew Leonard’s Danbury
Join the team at Stew Leonard’s for a special Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24, 2024, hosted by the Easter Bunny and his friends! Stew Leonard’s chefs will offer a buffet-style selection of your favorite breakfast treats. Each child will receive Easter coloring sheets and will be able to take a photo with the Easter Bunny. Limited seating available and tickets will be available for purchase via Eventbrite.com starting February 4, 2024.
March 29: 4th Annual Fairfield Moms Easter Egg Hunt:
There will be 5 egg hunt times for different age groups, food trucks, DJ, local vendors and maybe a visit from the Easter Bunny? Access to Silvermans for FREE after the egg hunt with purchase of a ticket. Book in advance- tickets go fast!
