Youth volunteer opportunities in CT enrich not only those you assist but yourself, too! Consider carving out some of your extra summer down time to give your time, your talents, and explore potential paid jobs or even future career choices.  Summer camps need a variety of talents and skills, for example.

Kids Helping Kids CT a.k.a. KHK in the Stamford area is a great place to start – sign up for their newsletter and contact them to attend an orientation for new volunteers.

Farmers Markets in CT operate through community volunteers so speak up at your next visit or reach out through email to get involved! It’s a great way to learn about our regional food system. Look on our Events Calendar for a few examples.

Volunteermatch.org lists organizations in CT that need your youth services – specifically we found: Guilford Animal Assisted Therapy Services, Inc. assisting teens and adults through horse “equine” therapy at beautiful Miles Hill Farm one hour a week.  Enrich your summer at a kids camp assisting at Summer Escape Camp in Enfield with leading teams, assisting with leading specific activities, such as arts & crafts, or reading through the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford‘s literacy project-training is provided and by volunteering just thirty minutes a week, you can help give these students the tools they need to overcome these statistics and succeed in life.
