Mother’s Day 2024
Now that April Break has flown by (seriously- where does the time go!?!?!) it’s time to turn our attention to our next big holiday: Mother’s Day!
Being a Mom is HARD. That’s why we’ve put together the the ultimate list of ways to treat Mom to Connecticut Fun this Mother’s Day. From free events, to brunches, to museum visits, to family fun runs and everything in between, there is something to make every Mother Figure feel special.

May 4: Lowe’s Butterfly Biome*: Celebrate Mom by making her a FREE Butterfly Biome!
May 6: Home Depot Free Kids Workshop*: Make Mom a FREE Blooming Flower Planter!
May 11: Bristol Library Mother’s Day Crafts*: Make Mom Something Special!
May 11: Windsor Public Library* Mother’s Day Windchimes.
May 11: Killingly Public Library Mother’s Day Crafting Events
May 11-12: Springfest at Brown’s Harvest Our season opening event! Join us in celebrating spring’s arrival. Free admission, additional charge for kids activities.
May: Elizabeth Park, Hartford: The Rose Garden is the stuff of fairy tales, and that’s just the beginning! They have some truly unique flower and plant varieties, and it’s definitely one of the state’s prettiest spots!
May: Lavender Pond Farm, Killingworth*: Stroll along in fields of lavender, play giant lawn games, see the Fairy Garden, or pay an additional fee for a fun train ride.
May: Bikes on Main to Old Wethersfield*: visit to see all the different spring decorations and pick your favorites!
Harkness Memorial State Park, Waterford*: This is a state park with the most gorgeous gardens, a mansion that overlooks the water, and some incredible picnic areas. Visit during Kite Flying Days to watch dozens of kites soar across the sky.

May 11&12: Essex Steam Train and Riverboat: Mommy & Me Tea: Dress your little ones in their finest and bring them aboard to celebrate for a special afternoon tea, in 1920s Pullman style. Delight in an assortment of teas, finger sandwiches, scones, sweets and more.
May 12: St. Clements Castle Mother’s Day Brunch: Join us in celebrating that special mom in your life with a festive brunch.
May 12: Mothers Day at Stone Acres Farms: Join us at the historic Stone Acres Farm Manor House for Mother’s Day brunch catered by our 85th Day Culinary Team.
May 12: Mother’s Day Tea at Westport Inn Bed and Breakfast: Celebrate motherhood at our special Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea!
Includes a choice of Two Teas and 10 Savory & Sweet Treats
May 11: Stone Row, Willimantic, Sunday Brunch: Take Mom for a special meal at Stone Row.
May: Old English Mill Tea Room: Take Mom to a traditional afternoon tea with the queen. Reservations required.
May: Take Tea, A British Style Tea Room: Visit this traditional tearoom to spoil Mom with an elegant afternoon tea service.
May 12: Fire at the Ridge Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet: Let’s spoil Mom with all of her favorites on Mother’s Day.
Grab a pastry from Sift Bake Shop and go for a walk through downtown Mystic.
Watch the Trains at Pizza Works in Old Saybrook– then take a walk along Harvey’s or Cove Beach!
Stop at the UCONN Dairy Bar for Ice Cream and then take a walk around the Animal Barns to see some adorable baby animals.

May 10: Mother’s Day Flower Arranging at Hops on the Hill, Glastonbury: Design beautiful floral vase arrangements with local spring farm blooms. Tickets include a brewery beverage of your choice from Hops on the Hill.
May 11: Mother’s Day Market, Bozrah: Join us for our Mother’s Day Market! This is our first event of the 2024 season.
May 11: Mother’s Day Brunch and Paint: At our Mother’s Day brunch and paint event, you and your special guest will enjoy a delicious brunch while having a fun and relaxing painting session
May 11-12 Mothers Day Trolley Rides at Shore Line Trolley Museum: Celebrate Mom All Weekend! Moms and Grandmas can celebrate this special weekend by taking a relaxing ride along the scenic Farm River.
May 11-12: Mother’s Day Market at Connecticut Valley Brewing Company: Connecticut Valley Brewing is excited to host their annual Mother’s Day Markek.
May 14: Riverquest Mother’s Day Cruise: Spend some quality time with Mom! On this special day, MOM IS HALF PRICE!
May: See some butterflies during Butterfly Encounter at the Connecticut Science Center: See tons of butterflies, enjoy some warm air, and grab ice cream afterwards!

May 12: Mother’s Day 5 K: Mother’s Day 5K/1 Mile walk in support of Ukraine.
May 12: Milford Campus Bridgeport Hospital Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk/Kids Fun Run: For over two decades the Milford Campus Bridgeport Hospital (the former Milford Hospital) has hosted a Mother’s Day Run & Walk to promote wellness & health. All abilities are invited to join us as we celebrate the day!
Go really unique with Axe Throwing, An Adventure Park, or Go-Karting: Think outside the box and have a blast!
