It’s the season for Summer Fireworks throughout Connecticut! BUT sadly this year many have cancelled so we’re here to update you! We’ll tell you where you CAN enjoy the fireworks plus list the cancellations by town.
There will still be some public displays to enjoy – four towns still plan to host them! Update on Middletown annual Fireworks Festival scheduled for Saturday, June 27th 2020 will be rescheduled. Our hope is to reschedule the event to a later date in the upcoming months for what will be a celebration of community.
Thursday, July 2
Naugatuck will hold fireworks at 9:30 pm.Old Firehouse Road and FREE parking at the Naugatuck Event Center. There will be no downtown festival this year. Social distancing guidelines to be announced, Raindate is July 3.
Saturday, July 4
New Britain “The Great Boom” will go on – parking lot entry opening at 7:30 p.m.
Stamford will Stamford Downtown will host a Fourth of July rooftop fireworks display Saturday from the Landmark Building, located on Landmark Square. The display is meant to serve as “an uplifting treat” for residents of the downtown area and surrounding neighbors in view of the building, downtown officials said.
Sunday, July 5
Waterbury at 9:15 PM. To promote social distancing, viewers will be prohibited from viewing the fireworks in the Brass Mill Center Mall parking lots. The city is encouraging spectators to adhere to all social distancing and CDC guidelines.
