School vacation ideas CT for next week are HERE!
Channel 3 Kids Camp in Andover now invites you to utilize indoor program space and its extensive outdoor facility (note no busing during vacation weeks – you must provide transportation) on Monday, 2/16 and Tuesday, 2/17. Sports camps are available in a lot of arenas around the state like at Connecticut Baseball Academy, Valley Sports Center or search online with active.com.
For family day trips, start off with a local getaway in Hartford at the Connecticut Science Center. Pez Visitor Center, Orange (open Monday, 2/16 but factory floor closed for observation); Stepping Stones Museum, Norwalk – visit for the annual Winter Wonderland Children’s Ball on Saturday, February 21; and pick an active official government approved “Let’s Move Museum in CT“!
Make a point of finding out what’s going on at your local library or a museum — at New England Air Museum there is something different everyday – read about the daily workshops on our Calendar like Aero Modeling, Straw Rocket, LEGO Contest, and Open Cockpit. At New Britain Museum of American Art on the Third Monday of every month Homeschool Family Days offers a learning experience for students older than 5 – the theme is Celebrate the Presidents! on 2/16.
For indoor activity, go to Jump N’ Jammin in Bristol or Stay and Play indoor playspace and game room in Old Saybrook. Try roller skating in Groton, Middletown, New Haven, Vernon, or Waterbury.
End your week on Sunday, 2/22 at a new Family Fun Fair with KidsPlay Museum of Torrington hosted by Warner Theatre.
Remember events added daily so check the Kidtivity Events Calendar for more weekend happenings and fun things to do with kids in CT every day of the year. And read some of our destination idea posts like ice skating!
