On October 27th, volunteers from across the country will unite for Make A Difference Day, one of the largest annual single-days of service nationwide. Since 1992, volunteers and communities have come together on Make A Difference Day (held on the fourth Saturday in October) with a single purpose: to improve the lives of others. Make A Difference Day is made possible by Points of Light.

Kids can serve others on Make A Difference Day when millions of people across the nation will unite with one common goal – to improve the lives of others. You can join another project or start your own and recruit volunteers! No matter who you are or where you’re from, anyone can accomplish amazing things when they take on the needs they see in their community. Whether it’s cleaning a local park or working with your town’s animal rescue center, you can serve your local community and a make a positive impact on Make A Difference Day. Volunteers across the nation will unite with a common mission — to improve the lives of others.
