We always thought the name “Great American Boom,” the annual family event in Stanley Quarter Park, New Britain 5-9:00 PM, Fireworks start at 9:15 PM. It describes the big noisy fun perfectly, doesn’t it?!
Hartford’s Riverfest has expanded to three full days, running July 9 to 11, and this year includes a food truck fest to complement the Fourth of July festivities and Connecticon; and for those who are up to traveling to something bigger head to Boston Harborfest where the fireworks can be seen over a very patriotic city.
