Frozen’s Elsa & Anna Visit Connecticut with Disney On Ice in Hartford this weekend through Monday. Choose from many performances to fit your schedule!
Kidtivity scoped it out for you at the first show of “Frozen” Disney on Ice in Hartford and we give it a “10.” This story of the love between two sisters is really brought to life before your eyes on an ice rink at the XL Center.
The show kicked with MCs Mickey, Minnie and, Goofy as they introduced all the Princesses plus Nemo, Buzzz & Woody and, finally Donald.
Disney on Ice is a multi-media extravaganza! Big screen backdrops, large-scale props and a huge variety of costumes help to keep each story completely engaging. The choreography is delightful and clever with many stunts to bring smiles to all ages. The characters of Elsa, Anna, Christophe and even Hans were spot on with the music and the dancing! AND OF COURSE, these songs encourage audience participation so much that even tweens & teens sing along to the contemporary music score!
The show which is done in two acts with a 15 minute intermission over a 1 hour 45 minutes. This Disney On Ice production is well-balanced with the Frozen characters from the iconic Disney movie plus some big surprises and thrills for the audience including lighting that magically carries you from Summer to Winter back to Summer as this live story progresses; Sven, Olaf and Ice Monster brought to life.

We took trips to Arendelle to see young sisters playing in the snow followed by a beautiful coronation gone “cold”. Then off to mountains to find Elsa, where Anna meets up with Christophe, Sven and Olaf. Finally back to Arendelle where a sister’s love can thaw a Frozen heart as Elsa Let it Go of her past pains.
