Summer Kick-Off Week with the Litchfield Historical Society starts off kids summer vacation with a week of FREE afternoon crafts and games for families at the Tapping Reeve Meadow. Starting on Tuesday, June 26 through Friday, June 29 between 3 and 5 p.m. families are invited to stop in throughout the week for activities such as painting, planting, making sundials, playing colonial games, and more. The week starts with a birthday celebration for Sarah Pierce, founder of the Litchfield Female Academy, who was born 251 years ago.
