Summer at Camp Aspetuck Offers Teen Leadership Programs

August 4, 2017 @ 9:00 am - August 8, 2017 @ 4:00 pm

$275 – $535

All girls are welcome – Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scouts to Summer at Camp Aspetuck, there is something for every girl. After a summer at camp, girls will learn the values of determination, curiosity, and responsibility while enjoying swimming lessons, horseback riding, STEM activities, and outdoor exploration! Girls in grade four to five can also take their taste buds on an international tour with the International Food Traveler program! Girls can travel to England, Switzerland, India, and Mexico and sample culture and cuisine from around the world. They will also learn skills in outdoor cooking, food prep, safety, and earn a passport full of recipes to take home!
Aside from its normal programming, girls in grades nine through twelve can participate in a number of leadership programs. These programs focus on leadership development, teamwork, skill-building, and practicing being a great role model while also enjoying the thrills that camp has to offer!
While some people still think of Girl Scouts as just cookies, campfires, and friendship bracelets, Girl Scouts in Connecticut are so much more. Girl Scouts are big thinkers, groundbreakers, and role models. Girl Scouts design robots, earn badges, learn financial literacy skills, and improve their communities through take action projects—and they sell the best cookies on the planet! When she’s a Girl Scout, she’s also a G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™.
We are Girl Scouts of Connecticut. We’re more than 47,000 members strong – girls and adults – who believe that every girl can change the world.
We’re part of a sisterhood of 2.7 million around the globe. It all began more than 100 years ago with one woman, Juliette Gordon Low, who believed in the power of one girl. We continue her vision of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. At Girl Scouts, we believe that there’s a chance for every girl to do something amazing.
