We are lowering the volume and dimming the lights for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and sensory processing differences to have a fun, enjoyable, and interactive learning experience in a comfortable and accepting environment! Our staff goes through the Museum to turn down lights, limit extra sounds and stop distracting motions. Extra signage is also added to help visitors determine if a particular exhibit or gallery will have any triggers for someone with ASD. Everyone who will benefit from this environment is invited as our special guests for the day. Any visitors on this day will still have the opportunity to experience all of the fun exhibits the Connecticut Science Center offers. Best of all, our blockbuster traveling exhibition, Under the Canopy, featuring animals of the Rainforest, is included with your General Admission.
