Paint Michaela’s Four O’Clock Flower Fundraiser for the Petit Family Foundation. This is a guided paint and sip class lead step-by-step by one of our talented artists, all supplies included to paint a beautiful 8×10″” image of Michaela’s Four O’ Clock flower.  All ages welcome!
A favorite flower of Michaela’s, Four O’ Clocks are so named because they open their flowers in the late afternoon. They are very beautiful and are known for their aromatic fragrance.
Michaela Petit’s Four O’ Clocks were named the Official Children’s State Flower of Connecticut on June 19, 2015.
Michaela’s Garden Project was the vision of Michaela’s Uncle, Dennis Chapman. For the past twelve summers, Michaela’s Four O’ Clocks have been re-planted with seeds propagated from her original garden in Cheshire. Today these flowers bloom and thrive in gardens throughout Connecticut and even further afield. There are many official Michaela’s Garden locations planted around the state to honor her memory.
All proceeds from this fundraising event will go to support the mission of the Petit Family Foundation. The Foundation supports organizations which help to improve the lives of those affected by chronic illnesses, to foster the education of young people, especially women in the sciences, and to support efforts to protect and help those affected by violence.
The Art Studio of Connecticut is a BYO studio, so please feel free to bring anything you would like to eat or drink while you paint! Coffee bar and light refreshments will be available. Please arrive early if you are meeting a large group. Seating is not assigned and is first come first serve. All attendees are expected to be on time. Class starts promptly at 2pm, with doors opening at 1pm.
