Community Quilt Day

Our scrap basket is overflowing and it’s time to turn them into beautiful scrappy blankets to donate to Journey Home. Journey Home is a local organization finding innovative solutions to end homelessness in Hartford. We are excited to be partnering again with them on this project! In order to keep a safe environment we request that you sign up for a 1 hour time slot using the event link.

COMMUNITY QUILT DAY DETAILS

-Community Quilt Day is open to all ages and all skill levels.

-Kids must be 8 years old or over to use a sewing machine.

-Kids not currently enrolled in an after school class must be accompanied by an adult.

-No sewing experience is necessary.

-If you don’t want to so (or aren’t old enough) we have plenty of work to do including sorting scraps, helping the sewers and more!

-Sign up is in 1 hour intervals but please feel free to sign up for as many as you can. Space is limited so please do not take a space if you won’t be able to make it!

HOME GOODS DRIVE

We are also holding a drive for the items that Journey Home needs most including:

-pots/pans

-spatulas

-mixing spoons

-bath towels

-twin/queen sheet sets

-comforters
