Cirque Mechanics Will Thrill Audiences of All Ages at UConn’s Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, October 13. Hailed by Spectacle Magazine as “the greatest contribution to the American circus since Cirque du Soleil”, circus performance ensemble Cirque Mechanics will take the center ring at, to thrill audiences of all ages with an afternoon of daredevil antics, awesome feats of strength, high-flying acrobatics, and a menagerie of innovative mechanical marvels – including a galloping mechanical horse.
The imaginative presentation,“42FT – A Menagerie of Mechanical Marvels” is the latest invention from the creative minds of Cirque Mechanics, who invite one and all to leap into the 42-ft circus center ring and experience the timelessness of this evolving art form, hoping the show’s unique mechanical interpretation of the traditional and its story full of the lore of the historic one-ring circus will create a welcoming place, like a big top, where both young and old can gather to be amazed and entertained.
Doors to the performance will open at 1:30 pm. Performance begins at 2:00 pm.

Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts is located at 2132 Hillside Road on the UConn campus in Storrs.Due to construction on campus, Lot L and half of Lot X will be permanently closed in Fall 2019. Closure of Lot N and the remainder of Lot X will follow in Spring 2020. Convenient $5 event parking is available in the North Garage. Free parking is also available in Lot F.
