Our amazing Winter Trail of Lights has come to Christmas in July. Come meet the equines and walk the lighted trail with family and friends. Dates are Saturday, July 10th, Friday, July 16th, and Sunday, July 25th from 8 pm to 10 pm. RSVP and Save the Date on Facebook!
Hay Burr Inn Equine Rescue & Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This is a donation-based fundraiser to help with the care and upkeep of the horses and donkey. There are NO tickets to purchase in advance to enter the event. Your DONATIONS are greatly appreciated for us to continue to rescue equines and give them a second chance to enjoy life and just be a horse.
Our equines are older, injured, or retired horses that were either owner surrenders or rescued from the kill pen; these are not riding horses. They are so wonderful and love attention. You can read about our rescues here on the sanctuary: https://www.hayburrinn.org/horse-profiles/.
Please wear your mask.
Please keep your social distance (6 feet apart).
Please bring your hand sanitizer and use it. We will have it available but we are a rescue providing for equines.
If you are interested in being part of the trail, helping with decorating the trail, or helping out at the event, download our volunteer event form and e-mail the completed form to email@example.com.
If you need to call, please call or text 860.932.2092. Please understand that on event day we are busy preparing and may not be able to answer or reply within the same day. If your question is regarding the event, please refer to the information here first. Thank you and we can’t wait to see you.
The trail is a dirt path that is about a half-mile long. There is a slight hill at the beginning.
