Falling down the rabbit hole couldn’t be more fun and exciting at Alice in Wonderland Summer Theater Camp! Spend your summer with Alice, one of literature’s most beloved heroines, in her madcap adventures. This show features updated songs from Disney’s thrilling animated motion picture, Disney’s Alice in Wonderland JR. is a fast-paced take on the classic tale. The ever-curious Alice’s journey begins innocently enough as she chases the White Rabbit. Her adventures become increasingly stranger as she races the Dodo Bird, gets tied up with Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, raps with a bubble-blowing Caterpillar and beats the Queen of Hearts at her own game!
This 5-week program will involve participants in all aspects of a full-scale musical. Kids ages 9 – 16 will learn what it takes to rehearse music, lines and more in order to perform in their own production at the end of the program. There will be exposure to the “behind the scenes” aspects of theater, including prop, costume and set design, as well as overall production responsibilities. Lead roles will be assigned after the start of the program. In addition to rehearsal, participants will play acting games, develop improvisation skills and generally become more comfortable performing onstage.
No experience necessary! Roles are plentiful, including three Cheshire Cats and dozens of other wonderfully wacky characters, providing plentiful opportunities to showcase students of all different musical skill levels.
So spend your summer with CAST (Canton Amateur Summer Theater). CAST brings everyone together for pure joy.
