9/12/20 Auditions for COVID-Safe Shakespeare: 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' Ages 12-20

FUSE Theatre of CT, our state’s newest non-profit theatre company, is excited to announce a highly innovative, hybrid live and virtually filmed production of William Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Nights Dream,’ featuring a cast of performers ages 12-20. Auditions will be held on Zoom by appointment on Saturday, September 12th, 2020 from 1-6 p.m. Please email fusetheatrect@gmail.com to set up your audition appointment. Callbacks may be held in small groups in person on Saturday, September 19th from 1-6 p.m. in Madison.
This very inventive play will feature an original “film score”, heavy dance/movement elements, professional camera acting training and spectacular design elements, fusing real-world costumes pieces, scenery and props with green-screen environments. The final product will be a filmed production to be streamed in spring of 2021. Rehearsals and filming will take place primarily on weekends, and will be very flexible and ALWAYS COVID-19 SAFE (scenes filmed virtually or in person with small cohorts, masks and distancing strictly observed).
