Easter Fun in Connecticut

Can you believe it? Easter is just around the corner (It falls on Sunday, March 31 this year)! Family fun is everywhere and we couldn’t be more excited. Have breakfast or go for a trolley ride with the Easter Bunny, hunt for eggs and more! We will continue to update this list as more opportunities pop up.

Hartford County:

March 29 -April 19 Farmers Hay Ride Egg Hunt

Get ready for a eggstra-special Easter celebration at our farm! 🎉 Join us for our 3rd Annual Farmer’s Easter Egg Hunt on the following dates:

– March 29th & 30th

– April 5th & 6th

– April 12th & 13th

– Good Friday April 18th &19th

🕒 We’re open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and the egg hunt courses are set up every hour!

The tractor heads off to the Easter egg hunt field on the hour, so be sure not to miss it!

April 5 Farmington Valley YMCA Easter Egg Hunt*

Hop on over for a fun-filled day at our free community Easter Egg Hunt! There will be plenty of eggs, candy, and excitement for everyone. Plus, a special visit from the Easter Bunny!

Candy donations are welcome!

April 6: Romp N Roll Egg Hunt

This egg-citing event is filled with fun for little ones and their families. Children will explore the gym, hunting for colorful eggs filled with non-food surprises.The adventure continues with festive art activities, lively music, and movement fun. A special visit from the Bunny makes for the perfect springtime photo opportunity. The event wraps up with a high-energy Bubble Dance Party, creating memories that will last long after the last egg is found.

April 6: Egg-a-POOL-looza at the Glastonbury High School Pool

Activities include aquatic egg hunt, face painting, prizes, pictures with the bunny and more. Preregistration is required for all participants. Parents do not need to register! Children who do not know how to swim must be in the water with a parent and U.S. Coast Guard approved life jackets must be worn. Parents must be in the water with their children for the 3-4 yr old and 5-6 yr old waves. Children aged 3-8 will be restricted to the shallow end of the pool, and 9-13-year old’s able to swim between the deep end and the shallow end.

April 12-19:  Easter Eggspress at the CT Trolley Museum:

Hop on board the Easter EGGspress Trolley! We hatched an EGGcellent event for the entire family, you won’t want to miss out! The Easter Bunny will be roaming the grounds and posing for pictures from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Each child will receive an Easter egg with a surprise inside when they complete up to five craft activities. 

April 13: Southington Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt*

10,000 Eggs & a Special Arrival! 🚒

Join us for our Annual FREE Easter Egg Hunt! The fun kicks off at 1 PM as the Easter Bunny arrives in style—riding a firetruck with the amazing firefighters of Plantsville Company #2!

April 15: Indoor Easter Egg Hunt, My Gym Enfield

Join us for our annual indoor Easter egg hunt. Every child receives a goody bag! Space is limited so reserve your spot today!

April 15: Easter Egg Hunt Eggstravaganza at Stew’s Newington*

Children aged 8 and under will be given a bag to collect Easter eggs filled with candy and other prizes from the costumed characters throughout the store. Five lucky children will open an egg to reveal a special ticket redeemable at Customer Service for a grand prize: a WOW Easter Basket bursting with treats! After the Egg-Stravaganza is complete, parents are invited to take photos of their children with the Easter Bunny. The event will have timed entry so that the store does not become overcrowded and tickets are required.

April 18: Easter Bunny at Indian Rock Nature Preserve, Bristol:

The Easter Bunny is coming back to Indian Rock Nature Preserve for a day of egg hunting. Eggs will be hidden throughout the duration of the event, which children can collect to trade in for a small prize! Please remember to bring your own basket. The Easter Bunny will be here to visit with your children, (Bring your own camera) Food, Games, Crafts and More!

April 19: Easter Egg Hunt at Noah Webster House

On Saturday April 19th from 12:00pm-2:00pm, the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt! All ages are welcome to attend. This exciting day will begin with an Easter egg hunt, which begins at 12:00 NOON. Arrive on time to make sure you grab an egg… once they’re gone… they’re gone!! The Easter Bunny will also be available for photo ops throughout the event.

After the egg hunt, come inside and enjoy family-friendly crafts, story time, and guided tours of the Noah Webster House!

Pre-registration for this event is required and tickets are limited. Children (0-17) are $5 and Adults (18+) are free! Please indicate all members of your party in your order.

April 19: Breakfast with the Easter Bunny at Sonny’s Place:

Get ready to indulge in a mouthwatering feast with the one and only Easter Bunny! April 12:  Pomfret Recreation Dept. Annual Easter Egg Hunt, Pomfret*

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt is for Pomfret boys and girls ages 1-10. There will be two large silver eggs hidden in each area in each age group. The Easter Bunny will award an Easter Basket to the children who find these eggs.

April 12: Rockville Church Egg Hunt*

Please join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. This event will be held outside unless weather does not permit and then it will be inside with two different areas for the kids seperated 4 and under and 5 and up. There will also be a visit from the Easter Bunny!!!! We will meet in the fellowship hall and we will start at 11 am promptly

April 16: Vernon Parks & Recreation Department and Santini Villa Apartments Egg Hunt*

The Vernon Parks & Recreation Department and Santini Villa Apartments are proud to present the 78th annual Egg Hunt at Henry Park for children ages 2-8. Come and hunt for the plastic candy filled eggs on the ball fields. Please bring a container/ bag to collect the eggs. Pre-registration is NOT required. No dogs allowed on the field.

 

April 19: Egg Hunt Bolton*

 

All Ages are welcome and separated into three different sections of the field to hunt for eggs.

Ages 4 and under, Ages 5-7, Ages 8+

The eggs are filled with candy and toys. Allergies are taken into account, however we ask that you check your child’s candy before eating it. Music, Games, and more will be available for all to enjoy prior to the egg hunt! Parents are required to stay at the park with their child for the entirety of the event!

In case of inclement weather, the egg hunt will take place inside of the building at Herrick Park instead with the egg hunt beginning at 12:00pm, one age group at a time. Times for age ranges will be posted on town website.

Join the Bolton Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary for their annual Bunny Breakfast before the Egg Hunt. This event is held at the Bolton Volunteer Fire Department and runs from 8:30 to 11:00 am

April 19:  Killingly’s Easter Egg Hunt, Davis Park*:

We’re proud to welcome Killingly Parks and Recreation to the team to pull off this HUGE egg hunt featuring 11,000 Easter Eggs and so much more! Join us for one, GIANT hunt time at 10am. Toddlers will have their own space as the rest of the kiddos scramble for the most eggs. Pictures with Easter Bunny, fun activities and more to come!

April 19: Windham’s Guilford Smith Memorial Library Annual Easter Egg Hunt*

Join us for our annual Easter Egg Hunt for kids of all ages!
This year, we will be requiring registration so we know how many kids to plan for. We will be organizing the hunt differently from past years to insure all participating kids get something.

April 19: Storrs Community Church 15th Annual Easter Egg Hunt – Coventry*

Invite your friends and plan to hop on over! Enjoy some indoor/outdoor family fun… games, crafts, treats, and more. The hunt will begin around 11 AM. Bring your Easter baskets.

Litchfield County:

April 5-19: Railroad Museum of New England Easter Bunny Express:

There is no better way to celebrate the coming of spring than on the Naugatuck Railroad’s Easter Bunny Express! Passengers on these trains enjoy a stop at the Bunny Patch where children will have the chance to help rescue the Easter Bunny’s duck friends and meet the Easter Bunny

April 12: Torrington Rec Easter Egg Hunt*

Join us for a morning filled with Easter fun! Spend time as a family doing our Easter games (egg and spoon race, bunny hop race, and egg toss), and children can participate in an Easter Egg Hunt to receive candy. Meet the Easter Bunny! Donations encouraged but not required!

April 19: Egg Hunt at Torrington Middle School*

Join us for a time of fun on Saturday, April 19th at 10:15 AM or 11:30 AM for our community Easter Egg Hunt at Torrington Middle School!

Get ready to stomp, chomp, and hunt for eggs like a real dinosaur! The 13th Annual Dino Easter Egg Hunt is back at The Dinosaur Place in Montville, Connecticut.

April 12: Exceptional Eggstravaganza, New London*

Enjoy Spring with SUBASE New London CYP! Join us for a special event for families with exceptional family members and their siblings on Saturday, April 12 from 1 PM to 4 PM at the Youth Center. There will be photos with Peter Cottontail, live bunnies to see, and an individual family egg hunt. Space is limited and this event is available by appointment only.

Fairfield County: 

Mar 28: Flashlight Egg Hunt at Everwonder

The Flashlight Egg Hunt is a KIDS ONLY, DROP-OFF event on Friday, March 28th for ages 5-10 only.

April 5: Egg Scramble at Ever Wonder Museum

EverWonder’s egg-citing and fabulous Annual Egg Scramble will take place on Saturday, April 5th,  2025. With a choice of egg hunt times and hunts separated by age groups, it is an egg hunt tailor-made for you. We hope to make every bunny hoppy, we mean happy!

Please be prompt by arriving 15 minutes before your timeslot. Egg hunts will start on time! Your museum visit immediately follows the egg hunt, and everyone must exit at the end of the time slot to allow the museum to reset for the next visitors. We may be unable to accommodate any late hunters, so please plan accordingly.

April 12: Rogers Orchards Easter Egg Hunt

Save the date for our 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt in the orchard! Back by popular demand, it’s going to be an egg-citing adventure! Don’t forget to plan ahead for cold, muddy conditions and bring your basket to collect all the treasures! Must reserve tickets in advance.

April 15:  Breakfast with the Easter Bunny, Stew Leonard’s Danbury*

Children aged 8 and under will be given a bag to collect Easter eggs filled with candy and other prizes from the costumed characters throughout the store. Five lucky children will open an egg to reveal a special ticket redeemable at Customer Service for a grand prize: a WOW Easter Basket bursting with treats! Parents, please note that some of the candy included in the eggs and baskets may contain peanuts. After the Egg-Stravaganza is complete, parents are invited to take photos of their children with the Easter Bunny. The event will have timed entry so that the store does not become overcrowded; this is for the safety and comfort of all our customers.

Due to the popularity of this event in years past, this is a ticketed event for children aged 8 and under. Parents and caregivers do not need tickets. Families can register for the free tickets via EventBrite.com starting March 1, 2025.

April 19: Trumbull Easter Egg Hunt*

The Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt is back! Please join us for this fun community event. Children should bring their own baskets to hunt for prize-filled eggs. The Easter Bunny will make an appearance. Donations will be collected for the Trumbull Food Pantry  so please consider bringing a non-perishable item to help our neighbors in need. Free  of charge event for ages 9 and under.
