Creative Arts Workshop for the Community Kitchen ~ Sunday, November 18 at 1 – 5:00 p.m.
Suggested donation levels are $20 for soup-sized bowls and mugs. Smaller and larger items are also available at marked prices at the New Haven Community Soup Kitchen.
This well-loved annual event was conceived by CAW Studio Potter Margie Haggerty. Inspired by the Empty Bowls Project, an international effort by ceramic artists to fight hunger, Margie saw an opportunity to do something similar on a local level. Pottery for the event is handmade and generously donated by CAW’s Studio Potters, faculty, and students, without whom the Bowl-A-Thon would not be possible.
