June is coming and that means Pride Month is almost here! Pride Month is a time to celebrate diversity in our community. Did you know PRIDE started as an acronym? It stands for Personal Rights in Defense and Education, which began as an organization started in 1966 to fight for equal rights for LGBTQ+ people in California.
Looking for more information on celebrating Pride with Kids? Parents Magazine has a great overview of explaining Pride month to your children. Looking for information on supporting your child? Q Plus is an incredible CT organization that provides safe and supportive spaces for LGBTQ+ youth to feel empowered and uplifted!
Connecticut has so many ways to celebrate with the whole family! The fun doesn’t stop in June- events continue until September!
Saturday June 1:
Bethel CT Parade and Pride Celebration, Bethel*
Celebrate and support the LGBTQ+ community at our FREE, family-friendly parade and celebration! Sidewalk parade followed by music, food, artists, vendors, kids activities, and more in downtown Bethel, CT!
Middletown Pridefest, Middletown *
Connecticut’s largest Pride celebration features a Drag Artist Story Time for children, a Pride March, vendors, concerts, and so much more! Most daytime events are family friendly.
Ridgefield’s Pride in the Park, Ridgefield *
Bring the whole family to Ballard Park, which features resources, music, games, crafts, and more!
ADULTS ONLY: Party with Pride at Mystic Aquarium
Dive into a sea of love, acceptance, and celebration! Join us on June 1, 7-10pm for Mystic Aquarium’s Party with Pride! This event is 18+ only.
Shelton Pride Flag Raising Ceremony*
The City of Shelton recognizes the month of June as Pride Month. A Flag Raising Ceremony and Proclamation Presentation will be held on June 1st at 2 p.m- it’s also during Food Truck on the River!

Monday, June 3:
Pride Flag Raising, West Hartford*
The community comes together to raise the Pride Flag over West Hartford on June 3 at 6:30pm. Proclamation reading and performances.
Friday, June 7:
Mystic Pride in the Park 2024*
Join the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce in Celebrating Pride Month. We are thrilled to be hosting this family friendly celebration of love, diversity, and inclusion.
Celebrate Pride in Downtown Storrs*
This fun, free family event starts at 7PM and features music, selfie stations, Pride arts and crafts activities, a dance off, Tie-Dye-Your-PRIDE Shirts (suggested donation $10), Drag Queen Storytime, and more!

Pride in the Park, Norwalk*
Pride in the Park is a family friendly event with local performances and more family fun!
Picnic for Pride, New Milford Green*

Glastonbury Pride Parade, Glastonbury*
Our Festival is being held on the Hubbard Green in Glastonbury, Connecticut. Parking will be available at 330 Hubbard Street. There will be a FREE SHUTTLE BUS to take you to the green, or you may park and walk.

Greater Bridgeport Pride March & Unity in the Park*
Day kicks off at 2pm for our annual Pride March in downtown Bridgeport. Stay for Unity in the Park, with local vendors, food trucks, and fun games.
Quassy Friends and Family Day
LP ride in the Hills, a project of the Connecticut Community Foundation, hosts an annual Family Pride Day at Quassy Amusement Park. Join us for rides, waterslides, activities, a DJ and lunch – all free for LGBTQ youth and their family and friends.
