One of our favorite times of year because we get to pick your own fruits and vegetables!  Travel around with us, please — give us your updates on Facebook and together we can share how to feed ourselves better, keep active with our kids, and support local farmers and businesses. Fruit Picking in CT is an enjoyable, healthy and tasty activity for friends and families to do together. It’s the season for Pick Your Own Connecticut peaches, apples, pears and plums! And flowers.

June through mid July is the best time for blueberries – we found this county map online plus state’s crop availability calendar for more specific dates of upcoming crops.  We head to 4H Auer Farm in Bloomfield – a peaceful, small farm environment with an educational barn of animals.
