Volunteer this Christmas – teach our children how to give to others and how everyone can benefit!  Be a Volunteer – find places to donate your “hands”! Help make this holiday season a truly special one by conveying the true message of Christmas:  This is the message of Christmas:  We are never alone.”  ~Taylor Caldwell

Christmas Community Meals offered by Hands On Hartford. Volunteers will help to decorate, prepare for the meal,  welcome our guests, serve the meal, and clean up afterwards.  We will also need help collecting certain items in order to ensure that the meal is a true holiday feast.  After you register to volunteer, the volunteer coordinator will contact you with any additional information and a list of needed items.  Please contact Cody Stewart with your questions at cstewart@handsonhartford.org.

Also, you can deliver a holiday meal for The Salvation Army to over 800 elderly throughout Greater Hartford or the region you choose –  individuals and small groups are invited to assist in serving, packaging, delivery, and/or clean up.

Or Find places to donate food through the CT Food Bank!

Retirement communities and nursing homes welcome children and families who wish to volunteer during the holidays.  Visit, bring cookies and sing carols room to room.

Soup Kitchens need volunteers of all ages to bring in food and to assist in food preparation, serving and clean-up.
