FOX 61 Camp Courant “send a kid to camp” phone-a-thon on Wednesday, June 15
The warm summer days at Hartford’s Camp Courant are filled with moments of excitement, fun, friendship, and self-confidence. As the oldest and largest free summer day in the nation, Camp Courant provides a safe and educational environment in which Hartford’s youth, ages 5 through 12 participate in active learning opportunities and fun activities focused on positive youth development and healthy lifestyle choices. Campers become part of a historic camp community that continues to grow and evolve, but also stood the test of time for 122 years.
The Camp day is filled with fun and exciting activities, from arts & crafts, swimming, hiking, golf, photography and more. We hope you can put yourself in the shoes of another family and give this experience to a child you needs it!
FOX 61’s HOPE campaign (Helping Organizations Promote Education) is hosting a “Send a Kid to Camp Courant” phone-a-thon to raise money on Wednesday, June 15 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Your support will help Hartford’s Camp Courant and FOX 61 further their missions to support education-based programs for children throughout the community.
Did you know? it only costs $40 per day to send one child to camp! The goal is to raise $100,000 during the live televised fundraiser, which will help to enhance the summer experience for nearly 1,000 Hartford children this year.
