Mystic Seaport CT – Pirate Activities for Kids and Photo Contest

Practice your “Arrrrr”s . . . Ahoy, matey! It’s pirate fun for the whole family during April school vacation. Take part in a pirate treasure hunt, discover how pirates navigated the high seas and create your own souvenir. You can also test your skill at walking the plank and try to pin the patch on the pirate. Have your photo taken with pirates and take part in high-spirited activities throughout the day.

Pirate Days highlights include:

• Pirate Treasure Hunt – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Follow the pirate treasure map for clues to discover secret hiding places where your seafaring skills will be the key to finding the final treasure chest.
• Pirate Souvenir Workshop – 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Baubles, bells and sailorman tales — create your very own unique pirate souvenir.
  • For children ages 4-10.
• High Seas Planetarium Show – 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
  • Learn how pirates of old navigated the high seas at our special planetarium show.

We’re looking for the most likable pirates around. Just snap and share a photo of your family during your visit to Mystic Seaport’s Pirate Days on April 9-10 or 16-17. The two photos with the most “likes” will win great prizes and will be featured in next year’s Pirate Days promotions.
