Fundraisers for Connecticut Children’s Medical Center can be fun family events that give to others at the same time!
Coming next is vie for the kids is the premier fundraising effort for the Clinical Trials Program at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center on Saturday, November 1 in Simsbury.
The morning begins with a Kids Fun Run followed by a 6k trail run/walk through the picturesque Ethel Walker Woods in Simsbury. This pristine and protected jewel offers the perfect setting for participants of all skill levels. We are certified by the USATF (USA Track & Field) and as a result, draw hundreds of runners from CT, RI, NY and MA.
The evenings’ feast at Rosedale Farms & Vineyards will set a new standard of what “Farm to Table” really means. We are thrilled to welcome back Jason Sobocinski, Executive Chef of Caseus Fromagerie & Bistro and host of the Cooking Channel’s The Big Cheese and Tyler Anderson, Executive Chef of Millwright’s and winner on The Food Network’s Chopped. New to the team is nationally recognized chef Jeffrey Lizotte, Executive Chef of Hartford’s prestigious ON20.
Since it’s inception, vie for the kids has raised $547,000 for the Cancer and Blood Disorders Clinical Trials Program at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
Other major events include:
– Geno Auriemma’s “Fore the Kids” Charity Golf Tournament at The Hartford Golf Club. The tournament benefits the Division of Orthopaedics at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center.
