Free Play Group – Language through Play

We are hosting a free play group at the park! Our activities are specifically designed with littles 2-5 in mind! Sensory play, book reading, and free play with language strategies and tips. Each family will receive a free handout and one family will be randomly selected to win a book! Our group is hosted by a pediatric speech-language pathologist who will be going around to each family to give some language-learning tips!

Schedule:

10:00-10:15- Blanket time (monster book reading & monster song)

10:15-10:45- Unstructured play (each family will play and the SLP will come around and provide teaching tips)

10:45-11:00- Snacks will be provided – kiddos will play with ‘jello dig’ and parents can ask the SLP questions about language and play
