Annual Edible Animal Contest at the Ellington Famers Market

Ellington Farmers Market will host its annual Edible Animals Contest on Saturday, September 27th from 9 AM to 12 PM at 72 Maple St. Contest entries, made entirely produce and other edible items, should be brought to the market by 9 AM. Shoppers will vote for their favorites throughout the morning, and winners will be announced at 11:45 AM. Market gift certificates will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The contest is free and open to all.

More than 50 vendors will be on hand with peak fall produce and the last of summer’s harvest. Enjoy the free live music of Sperry Creek, and SNAP and FMNP vouchers will be doubled at the market information booth. Bring the whole family to shop, compete, or just hang out!
