We’re mostly about CT Experiences, but we also like to pick up a handful of things for kids to unwrap under the tree- and a couple gifts from Santa!

Over the years, I’ve gotten to know several local creators and shop owners pretty well. The things we have found in our local stores have blown us away. They’re unique, fun, sustainable- and they help support families and communities!

Here’s just a handful of things that I’ve picked up for my family this year. We’ll keep adding to it throughout the season, so stay tuned for more:

Happy Handz Studio CT Sensory Mixes

This place is a GOLD MINE when it comes to sensory mixes that keep the kids occupied. They also have a TON of fun classes, some craft kits, and more!

Grace&Haven Mindfulness Collection

Grace & Haven in Essex has put together the most gorgeous set of Mindfulness gifts for kids. We especially loved the Mindfulness Magic Ball, which can be used to help kids focus on their breath. It also reminded me of one of my favorite toys growing up!

Crude & Crass Air Refresheners

This one is more for grown ups (bought it for my husband as a gift for both of us!), but it’s something that I thought might make some of you laugh. We ran into Crude and Crass at the Bristol Bazaar and fell in love with their sprays- they smell wonderful, but also have some hilarious titles. I bought something called “Turkey Farts” for Thanksgiving and my kids thought it was the funniest thing they’d ever seen.

Yard Goats Fan Shop

The GOATS are having a sale- all their sale items are 20% off between now and Black Friday! We scored an awesome hat for $12.40 and a T-Shirt for $14.40.

Bushy Hill Bonanza

This Portland based maker creates the most BEAUTIFUL bibs, blankets and more! We got a handful of them for our Baby- they were just $5 each!

Raised on Ridge Children’s Clothing

This Old Wethersfield Shop has the most beautiful clothing and accessories for kids- I fell in love with these tree tights!

Cups for a Cause DV

These beautiful cups serve an important mission: they donate a portion of the proceeds to local Domestic Violence shelters. We always get our kids new water bottles for Christmas, and these are just beautiful!
