Welcome to Better Late Than Never, an exhibition that celebrates the creative spirit at every stage of life. The tongue-in-cheek title, courtesy of Arlene Brown’s partner, perfectly captures the artist’s joyful emergence onto the regional art scene.

While creativity was a constant thread throughout Arlene’s childhood and college years, life took a detour. She spent decades building a successful law firm from the ground up with her life partner. Yet, art was never entirely left behind; between legal briefs, she kept her passion alive through weekly community painting groups on Long Island with the Babylon Citizens Council on the Arts (BACCA) and hand-carving annual linoleum block print holiday cards.
