We are proud to promote Kids Helping Kids CT or “KHK”s current holiday service project to give to others! It’s called the Gift of Giving which is the true reason for the season. This grassroots youth group started providing for kids in need at Christmas 3 years ago. This initiative is a bit different: the kids can shop for holidays for their loved ones courtesy of your donations!
The idea behind this Holiday Service Projects to Give to Others event was to give under-served children the ability to choose a gift for their family members for the holiday. Hundreds of gently used gifts for kids and adults were collected then children were invited to come shopping! KHK volunteers helped them with their selection and then wrapped the gifts for them. “The Gift of Giving was magical…”
A lot of volunteers to make the magic happen: kids to get people donating gently used items, sorting and set-up Friday, 12/9 from 3-9 pm we will set up the whole pop-up store at Boys and Girls Club, (347 Stillwater Avenue Stamford, CT). On Saturday December 10, we need all hands on deck to staff the store from 1:00- 6pm. Take a look for yourself https://youtu.be/qayIZEUNh5U, then Register to help plan, work a shift or multiple ones!
