Monthly Homeschool Series at Northwest Park

Ages 5 to 12:

Each month, Northwest Park invites homeschool students, ages 5-12, and their guardians to join us in hands-on science and nature exploration. Classes are held on the first or third Wednesday of each month. Choose from morning, (10:30AM-11:30AM), or afternoon, (2:00PM-3:00PM), sessions. New topic each month. Guardians should be prepared to stay for the program and work with their student(s).

NWP educators will be providing additional background information on each topic and modeling scientific instructional methods. A packet of take-home resources and activities will be provided at each class. Dress appropriately for weather conditions as all classes will be held primarily outdoors. Pre-registration is required. Minimum of 5 students required to run the program.

Just Breathe– January 4 or January 18, 2023
Let There Be Fire!*- February 1 or February 15, 2023
Sap to Syrup– March 1 or March 15, 2023
Rain, Rain, Don’t Go Away– April 5 or April 19, 2023
How Tweet It Is– May 3 or May 17, 2023
*90 minute extended session
