Greek Festival in New Britain with St. George’s Church serving massive amounts of homemade food, along with dancing, and specialty items from Greece.
Saturday, 5/27
Sensory Friendly Day at the Connecticut Science Center. Treat your favorite service member to FREE General Admission to the Connecticut Science Center! This offer applies to all active, reserve, and retired military, fire, police, state troopers, and EMS personnel. Accompanying family members are half price, too! As a special bonus, meet everyone’s favorite pup and patrol the Science Center with Chase and Ryder 11AM – 2PM daily. Please bring proof of service. Note: The Connecticut Science Center will be closed Monday, May 29 for Memorial Day.
Heritage Weekend and History Day for Families celebrates Wethersfield’s rich history and culture with a collaborative event celebrating Memorial Day with the Town of Wethersfield, Wethersfield Historical Society, Comstock, Ferre & Co. and the Webb-Deane-Stevens Museum. *FREE*
Parade at 9:00 a.m.
Second Annual Spring Festival in Old Wethersfield – historic and patriotic music will entertain the masses who come to celebrate America’s agricultural history, enjoy crafts and foods by area vendors, purchase plant starts, and listen to renowned and knowledgeable garden speakers.
Salute to Summer Mystic Seaport offers plenty of family fun and outdoor activities Saturday and Sunday — celebrate the warm weather 19th-century style by taking part in vintage lawn games, making ice cream the old-fashioned way, and playing a game of 1876 baseball. Participate in a friendly game of tug-of-war and gather friends for a relay race. Get out on the water with a rental from the Boathouse and try your hand at rowing a whaleboat and throwing a harpoon.
Robin Hood’s Faire final weekend! A family adventure into the 12th century with Robin Hood, Maid Marion, Friar Tuck, Little John, nobles, peasants, jousting knights, fire-eaters, magicians, jesters, and numerous interactive characters that breathe life into the village.

Hug a Horse! at Red Skye which offers horse back riding as well as animal assisted therapy.
