Calling All Singers for a High School Vocal Performing Scholarship!

If you, or someone you know, is a talented, motivated high school student looking to gain more experience, training and development as a performer then Ensign-Darling Vocal Fellowship is for you!

The Ensign-Darling Vocal Fellowship is a full-scholarship program for a select number of high school singerHigh School Vocal Performing Scholarships interested in classical and theatrical music. This program has been running since 2002 and has helped young performers get accepted to top arts schools and launch them into performing arts careers.

How does this work?

After submitting an application and completing a two-day audition, a select number of Fellows are chosen. The Fellows receive a scholarship to help cover the cost of professional vocal training with the voice teacher of their choice, master classes, mentoring, field trips and performance opportunities for an entire year. The best part is if you were accepted in a previous year you can apply again, if eligible, and receive all of the professional perks as before!

When and how do I sign up?

Applications are due Friday, April 22, 2016.

Here’s how to apply for the Ensign-Darling Vocal Fellowship:

Step 1: Go to to download the instructions. Please read these directions carefully, as they provide eligibility requirements, directions for filing an application and include a list of additional materials needed along with the application form.

Step 2: Fill out an application. This application can be either mailed or completed online.

A complete application must contain the following, submitted by mail or attached at the end of the online application:

  • Application Form completed in its entirety and/or a complete Resume
  • Signature Page with all 3 signatures, found at
  • A photocopy of your birth certificate or passport for proof of age
  • 2 Photographs of applicant (professional headshots are not required)
  • Under separate cover, a Letter(s) of Recommendation.
