Groundhog Day CT 2015 and more things to do with kids this weekend:

Sunday, 2/1

Learn about the legend and the facts about this cure animal, the groundhog at Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center in Mystic with games, a craft, and exploring the trails-registration required.

In Canton at Roaring Brook Nature Center take the Groundhog Day Hike – walk gently through the forest to uncover the mysteries of wildlife habits in mid-winter.

If you missed us yesterday, go to the Kids Fair, Hartford @ 10 a.m.-4 p.m. (closes earlier)

The home of the official Connecticut state groundhog, Connecticut Chuckles VIII, is at Lutz Children’s Museum in Manchester.  Dedicated fans gather at the museum each year on Groundhog Day to hear her prediction,open @ 6:00 a.m. – coffee and breakfast foods will be served while you await her arrival at about 6:45 AM.  Admission is FREE from 6-9 a.m.
