Scarecrow Day

It's time for annual Scarecrow Day in Simsbury hosted by the Historical Society.  Purchase a scarecrow frame at the main entrance of the Simsbury Historical Society campus Frames cost $15 each, with each additional frame $10.  There will be stations for clothing, hats, and accessories to build with.  Then lastly, fill your scarecrows with straw so he looks life-like.  Assistance is available throughout. Last year more than 250 scarecrows were built and displayed around town at businesses and private homes.…

This family-friendly event will officially kick-off the Shubert’s annual Holiday food and toy drive – patrons are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys when they attend events at the theatre through December 22. All food donations will benefit FISH of Greater New Haven which provides grocery assistance to the home-bound in New Haven, and toys will be distributed through the New Haven Fire Department.
