Village Pumpkin Festival

The 19th Annual Ivoryton Pumpkin Festival brings more than 1500 visitors to the green for FREE festival activities! This festival is all the best traditions of Autumn and Halloween! It is a great time for the entire family and we encourage the Halloween spirit with costumes!
Be sure to take the Great Pumpkin Challenge! We need families, groups, community organization and local businesses to bring carved pumpkins to the Ivoryton Village Green from 2PM-4PM
The festival will be filled with exciting events and activities for the entire family to enjoy.
Activities will be taking place all day!
Join the Ivoryton Library’s Pumpkin Chase a 5k Walk or Run through the Historic Village of Ivoryton. The Library will also host a Kids Fun Run. Registration starts at 7:30 at the Ivoryton Green with the Fun Run at 8:45 and Chase at 9:15.
Then Join Essex Park and Recreation from 9am to Noon at the Ivoryton Town Green for our Pumpkin Carving Party. We will have pumpkins to carve, while supplies last for you to display at the festival’s lighted Pumpkin Stroll.
Starting at 5pm – Six Summit Gallery will host Halloween inspired face painting by Bohemian Body Art alongside Music with Margie who will be performing “Roll With the Pumpkins” on the Ivoryton Playhouse’s side patio from 5pm – 5:45pm. Satisfy your sweet tooth with cookie decorating with the volunteers from Child & Family Services of Southeastern Connecticut from 5p-7p at the Ivoryton Village Green.
Enjoy a not so scary horse drawn hayride sponsored by the Park & Recreation Commission. Rides will leave from the Village Green from 5p-8p. Don’t miss the Haunted Happenings at the Ivoryton Library from 6p-8p, also from 6-8pm enjoy the antics of BeWitched on the Big Screen presented by Ivoryton Library and Essex Park and Rec next to Elephants Crossing.
Check out the entertainment: “Federation” is back with live music in the Gazebo from 6p-8p.
Enjoy free refreshments, courtesy of The Essex Lions Club & All Saints Church – while they last @The Ivoryton Playhouse patio also starting from 6p. Take a stroll around the village and take in the sights of the beautifully carved pumpkins on display. Pumpkin Lighting begins at 5pm.
