MLK Weekend at the Science Center
January 19 @ 10:00 am - January 21 @ 5:00 pm
First for MLK Weekend at the Science Center Saturday, January 19 – Monday, January 21, Everyone Pays Kids Price! Yes, it is easy for visitors of all ages to feel like a kid again at the Connecticut Science Center! For this special holiday weekend, we have decided to embrace that feeling, and everyone will pay kids’ price for General Admission. Explore more than 165 hands-on exhibits, warm up in our Butterfly Encounter, chill out in a 3D movie, or enjoy the Winter Carnival in our traveling exhibit gallery.
All weekend kids can blow off some energy in our traveling exhibit gallery at Winter Carnival! — we’re bringing in our favorite bounce house, a giant slide, and fun games to accompany our popular Sock Skating Rink. These activities are included with General Admission or Membership. Please note that some activities will temporarily shut down during Jungle Jim’s Mousetrap Science Shows on Monday.
When the kids are off from school on Monday, 1/21 join Jungle Jim for Mousetrap Science – an engaging show that uses balloon artistry to teach children how simple machines work. This one of a kind show combines math, science, and art. It also shows them that by using their imagination, they can build their own amazing inventions! This show is included FREE with your Science Center General Admission or Membership. This also kicks off National Engineer’s Week at the Science Center, highlighting special activities and programming designed to inspire problem-solving and innovation.
