Glass Blowing Workshops with Peter Greenwood give your child a unique opportunity to create individual glass art at the furnace.
During a 15 minute workshop you will make your very own beautiful paperweight or glass flower to take home. Open to everyone ages 5 years old and up, these all hands-on workshops are available year-round Tuesdays through Saturdays by appointment. No experience is necessary. Groups, individuals, schools, seniors, are all welcome!
During the process I will guide you through the simple steps involved in making an individual work of art. An 81 year old grandmother made 9 paperweights one for each of her grandchildren. A 5 year old can blow a Christmas ornament. Other workshops include the option to make a small vase. I can accommodate any special occasions including birthdays and teambuilding. My approach to teaching glass blowing is to make it a fun exciting unique experience for everyone involved. Each student will leave the studio with a special sense of accomplishment and a new appreciation of the process of working a ball of molten glass into unique finished piece of art.
All pieces made by the students go through the annealing process overnight and the finished pieces will be available the following day.
Greenwood Glass Blowing studio/gallery/school also hosts special glass blowing events at the studio is located inside the historic stone church in charming Riverton, Connecticut along the Farmington River. Visit www.petergreenwood.com for more information about other workshops.
