Gingerbread House Contest Wilton

The theme this year of the Gingerbread House Contest Wilton, in conjunction with the Wilton Library’s 125th anniversary, is in celebration of the past, present, and future of Wilton. Participants are encouraged to create an edible model of a house, building, public space, or any other aspect of Wilton to represent the town’s past, present and imagined future.
Construction:
- Create an edible model of a building, house, public space, or other aspect of Wilton
- All ages are welcome to participate. There will be two age groups for the competition: Child (12 & under) and Adult (13 & over)
- Each entrant (solo or group) is only allowed to submit one entry
- Maximum footprint of base cannot exceed 20″ x 20″
- All designs must be completely edible except for base
- Please use non-perishable food items
Drop off and Removal:
- Completed entries must be delivered to the Wilton Library on Sunday, December 1 between 1:00 – 4:30 pm or Monday, December 2, between 10:00 am – 7:30 pm
- You must fill out the entry form and deliver the form and creation to the Reference Desk
- Please pick up your creation on Monday, December 23, between 10:00 am and 7:30 pm

Voting and Prizes:
- Entries will be judged in both age groups by prominent community members
- Judges will choose winners from three categories:
- Most whimsical
- Most visionary Wilton place
- Best historical Wilton place
- Community members are invited to vote for a community favorite
- Voting for community members will open on Tuesday, December 3th and close on Monday, December 16th
- The prize in each category will be a $25 Chamber of Commerce gift certificate, which may be used at any merchant member of the Chamber
- Winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 18th.
