Community Day – Everyone pays $5 Featuring CT MakeFest and Family Harvest Day Activities!
We’re excited to welcome the community to come together to enjoy a fun, safe day at a great price! Enjoy activities inside and outside with 4 floors of safe, interactive fun. The hybrid event will feature activities at the Science Center as well as online components for those who wish to participate from home. Special guest presenters include Casey Carle of Bubblemania, Tyler Green, and Mario the Maker Magician.
The special day will feature a CT MakeFest Mini-Showcase and Family Harvest Day activities with plenty of space for social distancing. Participants can look forward to:
• Family Harvesting – Help harvest the seeds of Connecticut’s State Children’s Flower, the Four O’Clocks, from Michaela’s Garden with the Petit Family Foundation. Learn about green rooftops and enjoy a take and make activity to take home.
• CT Makefest Mini Showcase
By illuminating makers’ talents, we hope to celebrate Connecticut innovation and craftsmanship, and inspire local families to create and build with their own hands.

o Bubblemania LIVE outdoor demonstrations on the plaza with Casey Carle 11:30AM, 12:30 PM, and 1:30PM
