Easter Fun in Connecticut

Can you believe it? Easter is just around the corner (It falls on Sunday, April 9th this year)! Family fun is everywhere and we couldn’t be more excited. Have breakfast or go for a trolley ride with the Easter Bunny, hunt for eggs and more! We will continue to update this list as more opportunities pop up. 

Hartford County:

March 18- April 2: Grey Granite Railroad in Glastonbury: All Aboard the Easter Bunny Express: Gray Granite Railroad will be opening next weekend, Saturday & Sunday 3/18/23 from 10am to 4pm for rides to meet the Easter bunny and go on an Easter egg hunt.  After photos with the Easter bunny let the little ones burn off some energy running through the Christmas tree fields searching for hidden eggs to fill the provided egg bags. We are cash only. 

March 23-Easter: Farmer’s Hay Ride Egg Hunt: Egg hunts will start March 23 and run every Saturday and Sunday 10 to 4  till Easter 🐣 the cost will be $12 per participant and $2  for every rider. I

March 25: East Hartford Parks and Recreation Department’s Annual Egg Hunt at McAuliffe Park: East Hartford Parks and Recreation Department’s Annual Egg Hunt at McAuliffe Park, 30 Remington Road on Saturday, March 25th at 12:00pm. There will be thousands of pieces of chocolates and stuffed plastic eggs. This event is for children ages 10 and younger (and their accompanying parent/guardian.)

April 1: Glastonbury’s Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs: Egg Hunt begins promptly at 10:00 a.m. at the Riverfront Park (200 Welles Street, Glastonbury) on Saturday, April 1st. Event will be held rain or shine. Over 6,000 eggs will be hidden. Every egg contains a treat or prize for you and your dog including gift certificates and other surprises

April 1: Rompy’s Eggstravaganza

Rompy’s Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt is an Egg-celent idea for your little one! Children ages 3 months to 5 years old can explore the gym and gather about 10 eggs filled with non food item prizes. Plus, there will be a special visit from the Easter Bunny!

April 1: Town of New Britain Easter Egg Hunt: New Britain Parks and Recreation is to host an Easter Egg Hunt on April 1, 2023. Tickets are already available on the Parks and Recreation website.Pre-registration is required, with tickets $5.00 per child, and the event is open to New Britain residents only.

April 1: Sunnymount Farm’s Easter Egg Hunt: Hip hop hooray!

Join us at our SUNNYMOUNT FARM for an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 1, 2023 (2876 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike in Southington). Five timeslots to choose from between 10:00am – 12:15pm. Children of all ages are welcome. Each child requires a ticket for entry and must be accompanied by an adult. 

April 2: Stew Leonard’s Breakfast with the Easter Bunny: Join the team at Stew Leonard’s for a special Breakfast with the Easter Bunny.

April 2: 2nd Annual Easter Brunch & Egg Hunt at the ​​Delamar West Hartford: Join us for an Easter Brunch with the Easter Bunny and a family fun egg hunt! All ages will enjoy a delicious breakfast buffet, a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, and an egg hunt on our great lawn in celebration of Easter.

April 7: Easter Bunny at the New England Air Museum: Come meet the Easter Bunny at the New England Air Museum, participate in fun hands-on activities, and more!

April 8: Egg Hunt at Trinity on Main, New Britain: Come celebrate our annual egg hunt! 

April 8: FREE Egg Hunt at Robertson Park in Manchester: We Have Over 5000 Easter Eggs!That’s Just The Start! Mixed In With The Normal Easter Eggs Are Special GOLDEN EGGS That Contain Cash, Gift Cards, Prizes And More! BONUS! Middlesex County:

April 1: Town of Portland’s Easter Egg Hunt: Join us for A Small Town Easter Egg Hunt that’s lots of fun! 

April 1: Ray of Light Farm in Middle Haddam’s Easter Egg Hunt & Party 

April 1: Essex Steam Train’s Bunny Breakfast: Hippity Hop for Bunny Breakfast aboard our vintage Pullman dining cars, pulled by our antique diesel locomotive. Families will delight in a spring train ride through the beautiful Connecticut River Valley as they enjoy a family style platter of breakfast items suitable for all ages. Kids receive their honorary bunny ears as they board. Get your tickets today…. it’s going to be a hoppin’ good time!

April 1: East Hampton Parks and Rec Spring Candy Hunt: Open to East Hampton Residents 10 and under. $5 per person. 

April 8: 25th Annual Easter Egg-tivities and Family Market at Westbrook Outlets: Bring the family and let’s have some fun on Saturday, April 8th from 10am to 3pm when we will be hosting our 25th Annual Easter Egg-tivities and Family Market. The Easter Bunny arrives at 11am for fun and  photos until 2pm. Our Easter Egg hunts begin at noon and run until 2pm with hunts set up in 4 age groups. Golden Tickets will be hidden inside 4 golden eggs

April 8: Living Rock Church: Killingworth: Hop on over for an exciting Easter egg hunt! Bring your friends and family and come ready to search for eggs filled with treats and surprises. We’ll have games, crafts, and lots of fun activities for everyone to enjoy. This is a great opportunity for your kids to connect with other children and learn about the true meaning of Easter. 

April 8: Pierson Park – Cromwell’s best FREE EGG HUNT!: Only a handful of spots in the 1pm timeframe remaining- over 5,000 eggs and tons of fun prizes await! Plus- pictures with the Easter bunny and fantastic prizes! 

 

Windham County:

April 1: Town Of Windham Easter Egg Hunt: Are you ready for a Hopping Good Time? Gather your Easter baskets and come out for our annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Jillson Square Green on Saturday, April 1st 2023! Please come early, as the Easter Egg Hunt starts at 10:00am sharp and takes only a few minutes

April 8: Killingly’s Easter Egg Hunt: Join Westfield Church, United Church of Christ for an Easter Egg Hunt and pictures with the Easter Bunny! 


Tolland County:

April 1: Mom’s Club of Ellington and Vernon Egg Hunt: 

April 1: Town of Columbia Easter Egg Hunt: Join us for a morning full of activities including an egg hunt, arts and crafts, and live music! 

April 6: Vernon Parks & Recreation Department and Santini Villa Apartments: The Vernon Parks & Recreation Department and Santini Villa Apartments will hold the 76th annual Egg Hunt at Henry Park for children ages 2-8 at Henry Park (120 South Street). Come and hunt for the plastic candy filled eggs on the ball fields. Please bring a container to collect the eggs.

April 7 & 8: Easter Fun at Sonny’s Place: TONS of Easter fun including Breakfast With The Easter Bunny;  Easter Egg Hunt; Meet the Easter Bunny;  Easter Crafts; Bunny Hop Trail and Kids DJ Dance Party. 

 

Litchfield County:

March 25: Neurodiverse, Sensory Friendly Egg Hunt: Pratt Nature Center: For Neurodiverse children of all ages. An egg hunt designed to be sensory friendly for families of neurodiverse children! Come spend some time outside, and have fun looking for treat filled eggs. Please bring your own baskets.

April 1, 2, 7, 8: Railroad Museum of New England Easter Bunny Express: There is no better way to celebrate the coming of spring than on the Naugatuck Railroad’s Easter Bunny Express! Climb aboard for a 1 hour and 20 minute train ride through the beautiful Litchfield Hills as they reawaken after a cold, long winter’s nap. Passengers on these trains enjoy a stop at the Bunny Patch where children will have the chance to help rescue the Easter Bunny’s duck friends! All children will have the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny himself, as well as receive a chocolate filled egg from his very own collection.

April 2, 7, & 8: Egg Hunt with Baby Goats on Got Your Goat Farm: We are having an Easter egg hunt and party on our farm!

April 8: Easter at the Barn: Come celebrate Easter at the farm with the whole family. Fun for all ages. Pony rides, face painting, Easter egg hunt by age group, Easter house decorating. Food will be available for purchase cash only. Preregistration required – $15 per ticket (no ticket needed for adults). 

 


New Haven County: 

March 26: Easter Egg Hunt FaithChurch.CC : FREE Easter egg hunt and petter zoo! Food will be available for purchase from a local food truck after service.

April 1: Annual Eggstravaganza on the Guilford Green: Join us for an egg hunt and a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny. Bring a basket to collect eggs. Rain Date April 8.

April 1: Oxford Parks and Rec Egg Hunt Join us for an Easter Egg Hunt: *Grades Pre-K – Kindergarten: Start time 11am- 11:15am *Grades 1 – 2: 11:30am – 11:45am.

April 1: Misfit Mama’s 2023 Spring Egg-stravaganza: Join us Saturday April 1st from 10-3pm for our first annual Spring Egg-stravaganza! A massive Easter Egg hunt with special Golden Eggs will take place at 11am, followed by our Family Bunny Hop Relay Race, and Our Parents Egg Toss Challenge, plus dozens of local vendors and food trucks to check out!

April 1: Sons and Daughters of Italy Pancake Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt in Derby: Please Save the Date of Saturday, April 1st for the Sons and Daughters of Italy Pancake Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt! More details about the fun filled breakfast and egg hunt will be posted soon!

April 8: Egg-stravagant Easter Event: Meriden Hills Baptist Church will join us once again with their magnificent egg hunt!!! Join us for a FREE Easter Treat Trail! Tables will be set up throughout the Green. Children can Hippity Hop to each table to collect candy and goodies. Please bring your own baskets.

April 8: JC Karate & Martial Arts Center Easter Egg Hunt: Fun egg hunt as follows: 10am Easter egg hunt session #1 ages 3-5; 11am Easter egg hunt session #2 ages 6-10; 11:30am Raffle prizes announced

 

New London County:

April 1: 13th Annual Egg Hunt at the Dino Place : Get ready to stomp, chomp, and hunt for eggs like a real dinosaur! The 13th Annual Dino Easter Egg Hunt is back at The Dinosaur Place in Montville, Connecticut, on April 1st.

April 1 & 2: Shop and Hop! Easter Egg Hunt at Ocean Beach Park Join us for over 50 Local Vendors to Shop with, Meet the Easter Bunny, Free Kids Activities, Performances and Live Music!

 

Fairfield County:

April 7: Fairfield Moms Easter Egg Hunt: Join Fairfield Moms for our 3rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Silverman’s Farm in Easton!

April 8: 6th Annual Wakeman Town Farm Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 8th is a great day to kick off your spring celebrations — bring your whole family (and your egg-hunting baskets!) to Wakeman Town Farm and join in the fun. Egg hunts will kick off at 10:30 the in the morning, followed by egg-themed games, story time readings and photos with Big Bunny. Visit the Farm’s real animals too. Yummy treats for the kids and coffee for the big “kids” provided by The Porch.
