The newest Disney on Ice production “Disney On Ice Presents Dream Big” started in Bridgeport last evening at Webster Bank Arena and continues through the weekend January 5-8 then entertains us in Hartford at the XL Center from January 12-16, 2017. You are invited to join eight Disney Princesses – Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tiana, Jasmine, Aurora and Snow White as they embark on incredible adventures, determined to make their dreams come true. This year for the first time in Bridgeport and Hartford, the sisterly love that has captivated millions will be brought to life on the icy stage. We will travel to the wintry world of Arendelle with sisters Anna and Elsa and the hilarious snowman Olaf from Disney’s Frozen as they learn that true love is the greatest magic of all.

Kidtivity felt the magic at the first show of “Disney on Ice Presents Dream Big” in Connecticut and we give it a “10.” Started to feel the excitement as we drove to the ease of parking, the small theater and the great seats which made it more enjoyable to view the event. Feld Entertainment’s productions excite us every year — they succeed in captivating the audience each time. So plan to attend Disney on Ice in Hartford this week!
The show was started with our host Mickey and our hostess Minnie. Started with Tinkerbell, then entered the Princesses. Heard one child yell out “Where’s Ariel?” ended with Frozen’s Elsa and Anna. You felt the audience participation when everyone joined in singing “Let it Go.”
Disney on Ice is a multi-media extravaganza! Big screen backdrops, large-scale props and a huge variety of costumes help to keep each story completely engaging. The choreography is delightful and clever with many stunts to bring smiles to all ages. The fireworks and fire on ice was amazing. The special effects included snow and signature fireworks which made you feel the magic of Disney.
