Super Bowl Sunday with Kids 2017 on February 5 can be a #familytime fun day without the big game!

Go to a museum when it’s not crowded so your kids (and you) can explore everything!  Become a life-long learner at Imagine Nation Museum or  Connecticut Science Center, New England Air Museum, Pez Factory, or the LEGO exhibit at the Stamford Museum & Nature Center.  The New Haven Museum is free on the first Sunday of every month and hosts a scavenger hunt.

Go on a cruise — with the Connecticut River Museum for eaglewatching and wildlife education.

Go to a craft store.

Go for a run — join an organized race to benefit others like Run for Refugees 5K in New Haven…certainly helps you prepare for the big food!

Saturday, February 6 a free public event when you watch experts dazzle you with folding and cutting; from 2 – 5pm to sip tea. All ages welcome!

Go to a restaurant you’ve wanted to go into and just hang without feeling rushed out by the next family!

Go ice skating — kids are free at Veterans Memorial Skating Rink in West Hartford Sundays from 7-8:00 p.m through February 26.

Go to a public party MacChiliFest in Westport, a pre-Super Bowl tradition of unlimited samplings of more than 20 different chili and mac’n cheese entries where your vote determines the best.
